Sung Jinwoo’s life was completely turned around when he entered the Double Dungeon in *Solo Leveling*. Considered the weakest Hunter, his chances of survival were slim, but he somehow made it through. This experience transformed him into a Player with access to a unique System.

At first, Jinwoo had a lot of questions about the System, but he gradually started to grasp how it worked. Throughout the second season of *Solo Leveling*, he battled numerous formidable foes, which required a significant amount of strength and determination. The upcoming third season will challenge him with even stronger enemies, and he’ll need to rely on others for assistance.

Sung Jinwoo Might Finally Meet His Father In Solo Leveling Season 3

Sung Il-Hwan Will Jinwoo’s Biggest Ally

For a while, Jinwoo and his sister lived alone, but that changed when he was able to revive their mother with a special elixir. He went through a difficult and challenging quest to gather the ingredients for it, because his family means everything to him, and he’d do anything to keep them safe. Now, after two seasons, only his father, Sung Il-Hwan, is no longer with them.

Il-Hwan has appeared in the story multiple times, but hasn’t crossed paths with Jinwoo yet. He was last seen defeating Hwang Dongsoo in America, and hasn’t been prominently involved since. However, he’s likely to play a major role in the upcoming third season and could become one of Jinwoo’s strongest allies.

During the Japan Crisis, Sung Il-Hwan was sent to Japan with a mission to eliminate a specific target. When he arrived, he was shocked to discover that target was his own son, Jinwoo. Il-Hwan chose to protect Jinwoo instead of completing his mission, even though it meant facing consequences from his superiors.

I was so relieved when the Rulers decided to switch things up and tasked Il-Hwan with protecting Sung Jinwoo’s son! Il-Hwan was absolutely thrilled to get the assignment and jumped right into action. You see, Jinwoo has made a *lot* of powerful enemies who are desperate to get rid of him, and having Il-Hwan watching over his son is a huge deal. Now, whether we’ll actually *see* Il-Hwan meet Jinwoo in Season 3 is still up in the air – it all depends on how much of the story they cover. Right now, it looks like Il-Hwan will probably just get his new orders in Season 3, with the actual meeting happening later, in Season 4.

Aniplex Needs To Confirm Solo Leveling Season 3

Fans loved the thrilling story arcs in Solo Leveling, and are eagerly awaiting season three of the anime. Unfortunately, A-1 Pictures and Aniplex haven’t released any information about the next season. The recent Aniplex Online Fest also didn’t offer any updates, making it doubtful that we’ll hear any news in 2025.

The lack of updates is likely due to the complex production of the *Solo Leveling* anime. As a huge fan, I’m telling you, Season 3 of Solo Leveling *will* happen, no matter what! The series is more popular than ever, and Aniplex knows they can’t just abandon something this big. We’re definitely getting more anime, that’s a promise! I’ve seen whispers of a 2028 release, but honestly, 2027 feels much more likely to me.
