Memories Puzzle Solution in Silent Hill f (All Shu Possession Locations)

In *Silent Hill f*, you’ll encounter puzzles that test your observation skills and require you to find specific items to move forward. The ‘Memories’ puzzle, found near the end of the Worship Hall, falls into the latter category. After making a difficult choice about her friends, Hinako needs to locate items belonging to Shu. This guide will show you where to find all of Shu’s possessions and how to solve the ‘Memories’ puzzle in *Silent Hill f*.

Shu’s Prized Possessions Locations in Silent Hill f (Memories Puzzle Solution)

To begin the Memories puzzle in *Silent Hill f*, first you need to finish the challenging rooms related to Rinko and Sakuko inside the Worship Hall. After using both the Tri-Scale Emblem and the White Rabbit Emblem Keys, a new path will appear, taking you to a showroom filled with Shu’s favorite things. You’ll notice some items are missing from the displays, and the puzzle requires you to locate them.

Depending on the puzzle difficulty – Story, Hard, or Lost in the Fog – you’ll need to find one, two, or three of Shu’s special items. You can see exactly where to find these items marked on the map. To begin, grab the note located near the large double doors.

Here’s the list of items that you’ll need to find in the Memories puzzle according to difficulty.

Story Brainiac Hero Comic
Hard Brainiac Hero Comic, and Drawing of a Young Shimizu Hinako
Lost in the Fog Brainiac Hero Comic, Drawing of a Young Shimizu Hinako, and Raygun

Drawing of a Young Shimizu Hinako Location (Shu’s Prized Possessions)

Go through the sliding doors to the left of the note. You’ll enter a dark hallway with a few enemies blocking your way, so take them out before continuing.

Turn right out of the corridor and look for a moving creature. Follow it until you reach a dead end. Once you defeat the creature, you’ll discover a candle-lit table with a drawing of young Hinako on it. You can only collect this drawing if you’re playing on Hard mode or the Lost in the Fog puzzle difficulty.

Birthing Mother Mini-Boss Encounter

In *Silent Hill f*, after passing through two gates, you’ll reach a boss arena where you’ll face the Birthing Mother mini-boss. She’ll send monsters to attack you during the fight. While the boss fight isn’t overly difficult, the challenge can increase significantly depending on the difficulty level you’ve chosen. Here’s what you can expect the boss to do to Hinko:

Attack Description Counter
Enemy Spawn Birthing Mother will push out blobs of meat on the floor, which will burst out to become (minion) enemies that’ll attack you. Quickly target and attack the meat blobs before enemies burst out of them.
Acid Spit The boss will charge up and launch (projectile) acidic spits at Hinako. Players will see the boss pushing its head back to charge up the projectile spit. Simply dodge sideways to avoid getting hit.
Body Charge If Hinako moves too close to the boss, it’ll push its body forward and hit Hinako with it. Make sure to land a few hits on the boss, then quickly create some distance between you and it to avoid getting hit.
Stun Shriek Periodically during the boss encounter, the Birthing Mother will unleash a (AOE) shriek that will temporarily stun Hinako and deplete her max Sanity. This attack is almost unavoidable, but the impact can be lessened depending on how far Hinako is from the boss.

Raygun Location (Shu’s Prized Possessions)

After you beat the boss, look for open medical cabinets in the arena on the first floor. The Raygun will be inside one of them, but it only appears if you’re playing on the Lost in the Fog difficulty setting.

Brainiac Hero Comic Location (Shu’s Prized Possessions)

After you finish exploring the first floor, go upstairs and turn right. You’ll find the Brainiac Hero Comic on a table across from the switch for the fox gate. This comic is available no matter how hard you set the puzzles. Once you grab it, pull the lever on the opposite side of the table. This will unlock a shortcut that takes you back to where the Memories puzzle began in *Silent Hill f*.

Okay, so to finally solve the Memories puzzle and move on in the Worship Hall, I need to put all of Shu’s most important items onto those podiums. Got it! Time to finish this chapter.
