During the Double Dungeon Arc, Kandiaru takes away Jin-Woo’s shadow allies while he’s fighting, leaving him to battle on his own. This removes the help he usually gets from powerful shadows like Beru and Igris, and all the work he’s done to collect them won’t matter. He’ll have to quickly find new ways to fight without his usual advantages.

The battle between Jin-Woo and Kandiaru in the Double Dungeon is very similar to his fight with Igris during the job-change quest in the first season of Solo Leveling. Both encounters pushed Jin-Woo to improve his abilities while facing intense pressure, showcasing his power, smart strategies, and ability to adjust to any situation. Because fans loved the fight with Igris, the battle against Kandiaru was even more anticipated and suspenseful.

Battling an opponent with similar powers, while also avoiding attacks from massive statues within a limited time, will push Jin-Woo to his mental and physical limits. He’ll question his chances of survival as the intense danger and stress threaten to overwhelm him.

Essentially, Jin-Woo is that host, and Ashborn plans to take control of his body – similar to how other Monarchs came to Earth.

Now that Jin-Woo has defeated the Architect and the Shadow Monarch unexpectedly switched sides, the System is losing its grip and won’t be able to fulfill its original plan.
