Solo Leveling Season 3 Will Show the Fight That Nearly Broke Sung Jin-Woo

This article contains spoilers from the Solo Leveling manhwa.

Defeating Sung Jin-Woo in *Solo Leveling* is incredibly difficult. He’s become the strongest hunter in Korea, far surpassing any other hunter or monster in terms of power. While he’s almost unbeatable now, there are still villains in *Solo Leveling* capable of challenging him and potentially causing him trouble.

In the second season of Solo Leveling, Sung Jin-Woo easily defeated the powerful Ant King. But things will get much harder in Season 3. A hidden and incredibly strong villain has been watching Jin-Woo, and is now ready to challenge him in a brutal fight that will push him to his absolute limits.

The Architect Will Corner Sung Jin-Woo in Solo Leveling Season 3

Jin-Woo Will Fight the Architect Without the Shadow Army

  • Jin-Woo will face the Architect in a crucial fight in Season 3.
  • The Architect is the hidden boss of the giant statues in Season 1.

Known to fans as Kandiaru, the Architect (or Moderator of the System) is easily one of the scariest characters in Solo Leveling. Readers will recognize his unsettling look and incredible powers. What truly sets him apart from other villains in Chugong’s series is his unique ability to completely shut down and neutralize Jin-Woo’s powerful shadow army.

During the Double Dungeon Arc, Kandiaru takes away Jin-Woo’s shadow allies while he’s fighting, leaving him to battle on his own. This removes the help he usually gets from powerful shadows like Beru and Igris, and all the work he’s done to collect them won’t matter. He’ll have to quickly find new ways to fight without his usual advantages.

The battle between Jin-Woo and Kandiaru in the Double Dungeon is very similar to his fight with Igris during the job-change quest in the first season of Solo Leveling. Both encounters pushed Jin-Woo to improve his abilities while facing intense pressure, showcasing his power, smart strategies, and ability to adjust to any situation. Because fans loved the fight with Igris, the battle against Kandiaru was even more anticipated and suspenseful.

The Architect Will Put Jin-Woo in a Vulnerable Trance-Like State

The Architect Aims for the True Shadow Monarch’s Descent

Throughout most of Solo Leveling, after Jin-Woo joined the System, he consistently wins his battles and rarely faces true challenges. People generally expect him to come out on top. But in Season 3, a new opponent called the Architect will push Jin-Woo to his limits, making him question his abilities and even putting him into a stunned, almost hypnotized state – something fans haven’t seen him experience before.

This occurs because Jin-Woo impressed the Architect during a desperate fight where only one could win. Battling an opponent with similar powers, while also avoiding attacks from massive statues within a limited time, will push Jin-Woo to his mental and physical limits. He’ll question his chances of survival as the intense danger and stress threaten to overwhelm him.

The System uses me, and I use the System.—Sung Jin-Woo

Despite the challenges, Jin-Woo remains incredibly powerful, and his fans know he has limitless potential. He actually gets stronger with every fight, making him a formidable and unpredictable opponent. Facing him feels like a guaranteed loss, and ultimately, it’s the Architect who will be defeated, ending his plans to bring Ashborn into the human world.

The Architect Will Still Lose to Jin-Woo

Jin-Woo Will Be The Shadow Monarch’s Official Successor

People who only watch the anime haven’t learned why the System exists, but the third season of Solo Leveling should explain it. The original story reveals the System was created to find the perfect host for the first Shadow Monarch, known as Ashborn. Essentially, Jin-Woo is that host, and Ashborn plans to take control of his body – similar to how other Monarchs came to Earth.

Now that Jin-Woo has defeated the Architect and the Shadow Monarch unexpectedly switched sides, the System is losing its grip and won’t be able to fulfill its original plan. Fans can expect another impressive showing of strength from Sung Jin-Woo in the Double Dungeon, where he continues his winning streak against powerful opponents like the Architect.
