One Piece’s main character, Monkey D. Luffy is a remarkably well-developed character that fans have come to love. He started his adventure in One Piece as an unknown pirate, and has grown significantly over time into the person he is today. With each challenge, Luffy has become more powerful. Now that One Piece is reaching its conclusion, it’s clear that Luffy is one of the strongest characters in the entire series.

Fans currently recognize him as one of the most powerful pirates on the seas, a position he earned by defeating Kaido, a former Emperor. With abilities like advanced Haki and Gear 5, many believe Luffy is unbeatable as the story nears its end. However, a recently introduced character has officially surpassed him, especially during the events in the Elbaf arc. When Luffy initially arrived in Elbaf, he was the strongest person there, and even Loki, who was built up to be a formidable foe, wasn’t as powerful. But now, it’s clear that Luffy is no longer the strongest in Elbaf, having been overtaken by Gunko, particularly after she came under the control of Imu.

At the start of the Elbaf arc, Luffy didn’t seem to be facing any major dangers. The Straw Hat Pirates had a relatively calm beginning to their journey there. While Shamrock’s arrival created some tension, he quickly departed. Even with the presence of three Holy Knights, the overall threat appeared to be rather minor and not very serious.

Because Oda chose to introduce Imu in Elbaf as a powerful opponent for the Straw Hats, the stakes are much higher now. Also, Luffy has finally met someone who seems stronger than he is. Things have been relatively easy for Luffy since his fight with Kaido, but that’s about to change in Elbaf.

It’s almost certain that the fight between Luffy and Imu is what Eiichiro Oda is building towards for the story arc on Elbaf, and it won’t be long before it happens. It’s hard to predict who would win-either Luffy or Imu could come out on top, although Imu is currently considered the more likely victor.

Fans are hoping Oda will make the Elbaf arc live up to expectations, giving Luffy a challenging fight where he’s the underdog-those are the battles fans love the most. Right now, the story is focused on the Loki flashback, but once that’s finished, the spotlight will shift to the inevitable battle between Luffy and Imu.
