One Piece: 5 Devil Fruits Loki Could Have

This article contains spoilers from One Piece’s Elbaf Arc.

Loki is currently the focus of much discussion in One Piece, ever since Oda recently introduced him. Fans are pleased with both how Loki looks and his personality. Even though we haven’t seen much of him fight yet, we already know a lot about his background, including the fact that he consumed a very powerful and rare Devil Fruit.

The identity of this fruit hasn’t been shared in the story yet, but fans are eager to discover what power it grants. Until then, they’re busy guessing what abilities it holds.

Fenrir

A Mythical Wolf

It’s very possible that Loki possesses the power of the Fenrir. Fenrir is a legendary wolf from Norse mythology, and is incredibly strong. Its power is so great that even the gods are afraid of it. The Fenrir’s mouth can open wide enough to engulf the entire world, reaching all the way to the sky.

The gods had to cleverly deceive Fenrir in order to capture him, and they used chains to restrain him. This is similar to how Loki was bound with chains in One Piece. Considering how dangerous Fenrir is – so much so that even the gods are afraid of him – it’s possible Loki consumed a Devil Fruit that allowed him to become as powerful. This fruit would be an ideal fit for Loki, granting him such immense strength that it would take the entire land of Elbaf to hold him captive.

Jormungandr

A Legendary Serpent

Jormungandr is a legendary snake and is also known as Loki’s child in Norse mythology. However, Oda could add a new element to the story by giving Loki the power to transform into Jormungandr. This would be a fascinating development, especially considering that during the Little Garden arc, Dorry and Brogy mentioned that their swords couldn’t penetrate the serpent soaked in blood.

This might be a hint about the famous Devil Fruits said to be found in Elbaf, and now consumed by Loki. It could also explain Loki’s desire to destroy the world, considering Norse myths predict Jormungandr will cause global destruction during Ragnarok. This serpent is incredibly dangerous and powerful, making it a fitting ability for Loki if he possesses it.

Hito Hito no Mi, Mythical Model

A Fruit Like Luffy’s Very Own

It’s quite likely that one of the best Devil Fruits for Loki would be a Hito Hito No Mi, Mythical Model. It’s been mentioned that Loki consumed a legendary Devil Fruit, and these are incredibly rare. Even the most powerful fruits in the world of One Piece – like the Magu Magu no Mi, the Yami Yami no Mi, or the Gura Gura no Mi – which are among the strongest ever seen, aren’t referred to as legendary.

I think the only fruit that really fits that description is Luffy’s Hito Hito no Mi Model: Nika. It makes me wonder if Loki has a power that’s similar – maybe that’s why he sees himself as a Sun God and believes he’s destined to destroy everything. There’s no question Loki is immensely powerful. If he *did* have an equally strong Hito Hito no Mi, it would be a match for Luffy’s and the fans would go wild, I think.

Nidhogg

A Majestic Dragon

Nidhogg is a famous, fire-breathing dragon from Norse mythology. It’s possible the Devil Fruit that Loki ate gave him powers similar to those of Nidhogg. This creature lived in Nilfheim and fed on the deceased. Considering how impressive dragons are and the sheer power associated with them, it would make sense for Loki to have this ability. Let’s hope Oda reveals what his powers are soon.

A Logia Fruit

An Underrated Fruit Class

There’s also a compelling idea that Loki ate a Logia-type of Devil Fruit. Mythical Zoan abilities have been a major focus recently. While Loki probably has a Mythical Zoan, it’s still possible he consumed a Logia. Logia fruits have become quite scarce since the timeskip, so this could be how Oda brings them back into the story.

Introducing a legendary Logia Devil Fruit that makes Loki nearly unbeatable would be amazing for fans. It would also open the possibility of seeing a Logia Awakening in the future – something fans have been hoping for, particularly since we’ve already seen clear Awakenings of the other two Devil Fruit types.
