This article contains spoilers from the Solo Leveling manhwa.
In Solo Leveling, Sung Jin-Woo is famous for fighting on his own. Viewers know that Jin-Woo likes to handle things himself and doesn’t want other hunters to fight alongside him. He’s essentially a one-person force at this point, able to clear dungeons and defeat bosses using his powerful shadow army instead of needing a team.
However, Solo Leveling Season 3 is set to introduce a major change, challenging Sung Jin-Woo by pairing him with someone significantly more powerful – perhaps two or three times stronger. This will be a new experience for Jin-Woo, as he’ll encounter a character so strong that he won’t be able to fight them, and will instead have to work alongside them as an ally.
Sung Jin-Woo Is the Ultimate One-Man Army
Jin-Woo Prefers to Fight Alone
- It’s more convenient for Jin-Woo to fight with his shadow army.
- Jin-Woo can clear a dungeon by himself without a strike team.
Hunter guilds are fiercely competing to sign Sung Jin-Woo, now recognized as Korea’s strongest hunter following his incredible performance during the fourth Jeju Island raid. Guild leaders are doing everything they can to attract him, promising huge rewards and even offering him top leadership roles. But convincing Jin-Woo to join won’t be simple, as he greatly prioritizes his independence. He values being his own boss and isn’t easily swayed by offers, no matter how tempting they may be. Competition is stiff, and each guild is pulling out all the stops.
I’m absolutely loving how self-sufficient Jin-Woo has become in Solo Leveling Season 2! It’s incredible to see he can now handle dungeons completely on his own, without needing to join a strike team. He just summons his shadow army when he needs extra help. And the best part? They follow his every command with total obedience – no fear, no hesitation. It’s amazing to watch them carry out his will so flawlessly. He really doesn’t *need* anyone else, and it’s a huge power boost for him. You can see how much stronger he’s become when he’s able to clear gates all by himself. It’s a game changer!
Although Jin-Woo gained a reliable friend in Yoo Jin-Ho, he understands Jin-Ho’s combat abilities have limitations. Rather than put his only friend in danger, Jin-Woo chooses to handle the most dangerous fights on his own. Furthermore, fighting solo allows Jin-Woo to earn more experience points, essential for leveling up. As he grows stronger, gaining levels becomes increasingly challenging, particularly when fighting alongside another hunter.
Sung Jin-Woo’s Strongest and Most Unexpected Ally Is Ashborn
Jin-Woo Will Meet Ashborn in Season 3
Season 3 of Solo Leveling promises to be thrilling as the story starts to reveal who the Shadow Monarch, Ashborn, really is. Fans of the manhwa know that Ashborn selected Jin-Woo early on, secretly influencing things to help him become powerful enough to take over his abilities. Simply put, Jin-Woo wouldn’t be where he is today without Ashborn’s guidance.
To understand the situation, Ashborn is a member of the Monarchs, but he’s different from the rest. While other Monarchs aim to cause destruction, Ashborn wants to end the constant war between the Monarchs and the Rulers. Instead of controlling Jin-Woo’s body and aiding the Monarchs, he chooses to give his power and position to Jin-Woo, effectively going against his fellow Monarchs, even the one who created the System. This act makes Jin-Woo understand that Ashborn recognized potential in him that others hadn’t seen. It’s a significant betrayal, but also a vote of confidence.
I am saying, you should be ready to get hunted.—Sung Jin-Woo
Even before Jin-Woo became the incredible hunter we all know, Ashborn was already keeping a close eye on him! I mean, he saw something special in Jin-Woo, even when everyone else dismissed him as a weak E-rank. It’s amazing to think that the creator of the System didn’t recognize his potential, but Ashborn did! From the very beginning, he’s been with Jin-Woo, truly becoming the ultimate ally. He never doubted for a second that Jin-Woo was destined for greatness, and that’s just incredible to me.
Ashborn Will Pass His Full Power to Jin-Woo
Jin-Woo Is Bound to Become Ashborn’s Successor
Taking on the complete power of the Shadow Monarch, Ashborn, is a huge deal, and honestly, it’s not going to be simple. It immediately connects me, Jin-Woo, to this ancient war between the Rulers and the Monarchs. It means I really have to step into the role of the new Shadow Monarch, and that power comes at a cost – a cost that goes way beyond just fighting. Yes, I’m getting stronger, but the weight on my shoulders is becoming immense. It’s a heavy burden, to say the least!
However, before Jin-Woo can fully unlock Ashborn’s power, he’ll encounter significant obstacles as the Shadow Monarch’s heir. He will battle not only the remaining Monarchs, but also the Rulers, who all want him eliminated. These events are expected to unfold in Solo Leveling Season 3, though nothing is official yet, so fans should keep an eye out for further news.
