When discussing the Tailed Beasts from the Naruto series, Kurama is undoubtedly the most well-known. This is because it was the first one shown to viewers, and it also formed a special connection with Naruto.

Out of the original nine Tailed Beasts, Kurama was considered the most powerful, contributing to his widespread appeal. Sadly, Naruto and Kurama are no longer together, however, Naruto might be gaining a new ability derived from a Tailed Beast in the future.

Naruto and Kurama worked together amazingly for many years. But everything shifted during the Isshiki storyline in Boruto, when Naruto Uzumaki faced the biggest challenge of his life. Isshiki was more powerful than Naruto and Sasuke together, meaning Naruto needed a unique solution to win.

As fans will recall, this ultimately became Baryon Mode. This transformation stood out because it combined Naruto and Kurama’s chakra with external energy, creating a power source that surpassed even Isshiki Otsutsuki. Remarkably, Naruto achieved a level of strength exceeding Isshiki’s in this state, which was a significant moment for viewers. Sadly, the mode couldn’t be sustained, and Naruto permanently lost Kurama. Since then, Naruto has been noticeably weaker, a development that many fans have found disappointing.

The Ten-Tails Still Exists In Boruto

The Shinju Come From The Ten Tails

Even though Kurama was taken from Naruto a while back, I don’t think that means he’s out of the game completely when it comes to gaining power. It’s pretty clear that Naruto won’t be able to connect with Kurama again, especially since the Tailed Beast now resides within Himawari Uzumaki. But honestly, there are still other Tailed Beasts that Naruto Uzumaki could potentially tap into! In fact, in the Boruto series, there’s one that’s actually looking for a host, and that’s the Ten Tails.

Unlike everyone else, Jura doesn’t have a father or mother; he wasn’t born in the traditional way. He is actually the living form of the Ten-Tails. Because of this, he’s the strongest of them all. – Boruto Uzumaki

Currently, the Ten Tails is being utilized in the creation of the Shinju. However, the Shinju is destined to eventually perish. Similar to the other Tailed Beasts, the Ten Tails will require some form of containment, otherwise it will reappear. The most effective method for this is the same approach Hagoromo Otsutsuki took: becoming its Jinchuriki.

Naruto Might Have To Become Its Jinchuriki

Although Naruto Uzumaki is currently sealed, he’s destined to return, and when he does, he might become the host of the Ten Tails. This wouldn’t just be about gaining power; it could be something he needs to do. This would be a fitting development for his character, as it would mirror the relationship between Naruto and Hagoromo, and also keep him central to future events. However, this is still some time off, as Naruto Uzumaki remains sealed and won’t likely be released anytime soon.
