2 of Borderlands 4’s Best Legendaries are Officially Impossible to Obtain

Okay, so endgame in Borderlands 4 is all about chasing that sweet, sweet Legendary loot. It’s super fun, but you don’t *just* have to rely on random drops, thankfully. Legendaries can pop up pretty much anywhere, but there are ways to make sure you get one – like hitting up Maurice’s Black Market or finishing the Vend of the Line side quest. But here’s the thing: one way to farm for them has a catch. If you haven’t already unlocked two of the best Legendaries in the game, you’re now completely out of luck. It’s a bit frustrating, honestly!

Borderlands 4 features an enormous amount of gear – the game boasts billions of different guns created through its parts system. However, finding the exact Legendary weapon you need for your character build can be difficult, even when using known sources, as the combination of parts on those weapons isn’t always what you’re looking for. Players used to be able to get two Legendary weapons through Twitch Drops, but that promotion has ended, making those specific guns unobtainable now.

Borderlands 4 Has 2 Legendary Guns That Players Can No Longer Get

  • Midnight Defiance — Legendary Vladof Sniper Rifle
  • Forsaken Chaos — Legendary Tediore Shotgun

Twitch Drops are becoming a popular way for the streaming platform to give players rewards for watching content. It’s easy to earn in-game items like those in *Borderlands 4* simply by watching streamers play. However, because these rewards are only available for a limited time, players might feel pressured to get them before the promotion ends. This is currently happening with the Midnight Defiance Legendary Sniper Rifle and Forsaken Chaos Legendary Shotgun in *Borderlands 4*.

How to Get Midnight Defiance and Forsaken Chaos

As a Borderlands fan, I was really excited about the chance to snag some cool weapons! From September 11th to 30th, if you watched any Borderlands 4 stream on Twitch from a partnered creator for at least two hours, you could get the Midnight Defiance and Forsaken Chaos Legendaries as a free drop. Unfortunately, if you missed out during that window – whether you bought the game later or didn’t have Twitch access – you won’t be able to get these awesome Legendaries now. It’s a bummer to miss out on some of the best gear, but that was the deal with the promotion!

To get Twitch Drops, you need to connect your Twitch account to the account you use for the game.

Borderlands 4 Players Who Missed These Twitch Drops Lost Out on 2 of the Game’s Best Legendaries

I was so lucky to snag these Legendaries during the Twitch Drops event, and let me tell you, they’re game-changers! There are two weapons you can build around, and the Midnight Defiance Sniper is seriously amazing. It has this cool effect called ‘Crowd Sourced’ where hitting an enemy spawns extra projectiles from nearby enemies – it’s perfect for Rafa builds because of his ability that boosts indirect projectile damage. But honestly, this sniper is just *that* good, it fits into pretty much any build in *Borderlands 4*. I’m having a blast experimenting with it!

The Forsaken Chaos shotgun has a special ability called Wide Net, which makes its shots spread out in a rotating, horizontal pattern. Like all Tediore weapons, you can throw it when you reload, and it will keep firing at enemies for a short time. This throwing ability works really well with both Rafa’s and Amon’s passives. Specifically, Amon’s passive adds Shock damage to the gun for 4 seconds after reloading, giving the thrown Forsaken Chaos even more damage potential.
