SHIB Sheds Its Meme Coin Status, Here’s Shiba Inu Team’s Proof It’s Not Just Meme

As a seasoned cryptocurrency analyst with years of experience in following the market trends and analyzing various projects, I have witnessed the evolution of Shiba Inu (SHIB) from a simple meme coin to a serious player in the crypto industry. The recent tweet by the official SHIB account serves as a reminder that this dynamic project has moved beyond its humorous origins.

The Shiba Inu team’s official Twitter handle has shared a post, emphasizing that SHIB is no longer merely a meme-based cryptocurrency for the Shiba Inu community and beyond.

As a proud SHIB investor, I’d like to share with you an update on our beloved token’s recent milestones. The SHIB team has meticulously compiled a recap of all the significant accomplishments made by SHIB and the initiatives launched on Shibarium, our forthcoming layer-2 solution. Stay tuned for more exciting developments!

Here’s why SHIB no longer meme coin, per team

The Shibtoken account posted a photo containing a well-known meme: several gentlemen in suits arranged so it seems the leading figure has an abundance of hands.

Behind a SHIB mascot, his face remains concealed. In its place, he reveals to the public various SHIB initiatives that have already gone live or are undergoing development by the team.

The projects depicted by the meme character with multiple hands include ShibaSwap’s decentralized exchange, an upgraded version of which has already been launched. Additionally, there’s the SHIB Metaverse, currently under development but not yet released. Furthermore, Shibarium, a layer-2 solution, and an NFT game named Shiba Eternity are also among these projects.

Last August marked the first instance where the Shiba Inu team raised the idea that the meme coin label held little significance for SHIB. This significant shift occurred as Shiba Inu officially became a major sponsor of the annual ETHToronto blockchain event. During this time, Shytoshi Kusama introduced Shibarium to the public for the first time via an AI app, even though he wasn’t physically present at the event.

This year SHIB will again sponsor this important crypto event.

SHIB team working on Shiba Eternity upgrade

According to U.Today’s latest news, a top exec from the SHIB group, named Lucie, unveiled a sneak peek this week of the imminent Web3 overhaul for the mobile version of Shiba Eternity, the NFT card game.

In this update, developers introduce the feature of tournaments. The new version will be named “Shibatopia Arena,” and it will include ranked competitions and blockchain-verified card battles.

Additionally, this upcoming change will elevate in-game cards into genuine digital assets. However, it’s crucial to note that this significant enhancement has not been launched publicly yet. Lucie strongly cautions against clicking on any suspicious links claiming an early release and emphasizes the importance of safeguarding your crypto.
