Bitcoin “Heading Higher” After 9,700% Price Increase, Bitwise CIO Predicts

In a detailed discussion on social media, he expressed his belief that the price of Bitcoin, our leading cryptocurrency, might continue to climb after its astounding 9,700% growth over the past decade. This forecast has me looking forward to potential further gains in the future.

The cryptocurrency recently came under renewed selling pressure, plunging below the $63,000 level. However, many analysts believe that it could potentially soar into six-figure territory this year. 

Hougan believes that Bitcoin has value since it offers the ability to store wealth in a digital format without relying on any centralized entity. This can be viewed as any other service of the likes of Salesforce. 

Instead of having to pay a fee for wealth security, it’s recommended that individuals purchase Bitcoin as an alternative. In this scenario, the worth of such investments adjusts based on demand. If there’s increasing interest in Salesforce’s services, its value increases; if interest wanes, so does its value; and if absolutely no one wants Salesforce’s service anymore, its value becomes nil, as per Hougan’s explanation.

The Bitcoin price is correlated with the number of people who want to use the service offered by the leading cryptocurrency. “But the end result is the same: More demand, more value; less demand, less value; no demand, no value.  It’s really not that different after all,” he said. 

I’ve often encountered criticisms from crypto skeptics, like gold advocate Peter Schiff, who dismiss Bitcoin as nothing more than a speculative investment doomed to collapse. However, I firmly believe in its value and potential.
