Pokémon Legends: Z-A introduces a variety of new Pokémon that can Mega Evolve, but unlocking Mega Chesnaught requires a significant time investment.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A will allow players to unlock Mega Evolutions in a few different ways. Achieving these transformations for the Kalos starter Pokémon requires fulfilling specific conditions, creating a challenging but rewarding experience.
Want to evolve your Chesnaught into Mega Chesnaught? We have all the information you need about getting the Chesnaughtite item.
Where to Find Chesnaughtite & Get Mega Chesnaught in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
You can’t find Chesnaughtite in Pokémon Legends: Z-A right now. Instead, it will be given out as a special reward for playing Ranked Battles online during Season 3.
After the successful first season of Legends: Z-A, which featured Greninjite as a prize, Season 2 is planned to start right away. Delphoxite will be a key reward in the new season, but specific release dates for future seasons haven’t been announced yet.
We don’t yet know exactly how to unlock the Chesnaughtite, but it’s likely to be the same as how Greninjite was unlocked last season: by reaching Rank K in online battles. Keep in mind that your rank resets at the start of each new season.
Although the exact release date for Season 3 hasn’t been announced yet, each season is expected to last about three weeks, like Season 1. Based on this, Season 2 should finish around November 26th, and Season 3 will likely start shortly after, concluding before Christmas.
Will Chesnaughtite be Available Again?
Pokémon has announced that Chesnaughtite will be available again, and players who previously earned Mega Evolution Stones through Ranked Battles online will receive them again in a future distribution.
Chesnaughtite might stay as a prize only for competitive Ranked battles. However, the announcement about the Kalos starters’ Mega Evolutions mentioned that Mega Stones earned as rewards will be available again in future seasons.
Chesnaughtite, Greninjite, and Delphoxite won’t be available through normal gameplay, and we’ll share more information about how to get them later.
It’s still uncertain if the game will change how things are done as Pokémon Legends: Z-A continues, or if the new Mega Dimension DLC will offer a different way to get Chesnaughtite.
