This article contains spoilers from One Piece’s Elbaf Arc.
The Elbaf arc in *One Piece* has revealed a lot of exciting details about both what’s to come and the world’s hidden history. A major focus of the arc has been Rocks D. Xebec, who, despite being presented as a villain, has become a surprisingly popular character. Fans are really enjoying his personality, and as his story in the Loki flashback nears its end, it’s becoming clear that Rocks D. Xebec will be greatly missed.
Rocks D. Xebec is destined to be defeated at God Valley following his fight with Imu, but fans anticipate he won’t actually die. In the world of *One Piece*, true death only happens when someone is completely forgotten, and many still remember Rocks. Furthermore, two significant characters will continue his legacy as his successors: his son, Blackbeard, and Loki, whom Rocks saved simply by being alive.

- Rocks wanted to beat Imu and take the world
- Rocks was ultimately killed by Imu
Fans of *One Piece* understand that Rocks sacrificed himself to protect his family. Blackbeard was enslaved by the Davy Clan on God Valley and would have suffered immensely before dying if Rocks hadn’t intervened. Rocks saved him, but it cost him his life. Now, Blackbeard carries on the legacy of the Davy Clan, opposing the World Government, just as Rocks did before him.

Blackbeard is exceptionally powerful, and given the government’s past actions against his father, he’s determined to make his voice heard. He clearly inherited his father’s ambition and sails on the ship, Saber of Xebec. His stated aim is to conquer the world, a goal recently linked to Imu by Rocks. It’s obvious Blackbeard intends to defeat Imu, which has fans incredibly excited.
Loki Carries The Will Of Rocks D. Xebec
Rocks’s True Will Has Been Inherited By Loki

Although Blackbeard was actually the son of Rocks D. Xebec and part of the Davy Clan, many fans believe Loki is the one who truly inherited Rocks’s ambitions. Loki had a much deeper understanding of Rocks than Blackbeard did, and greatly admired him. For Loki, who once felt hopeless, Rocks D. Xebec was a source of hope and purpose.

Loki’s hatred of the World Government and his belief in absolute power stem from the influence of Rocks. He credits Rocks for his current strength and sees himself as a destructive god, aiming to conquer the world – a goal he shares with Rocks. While his father sought a different path, Loki is determined to oppose the World Government completely. Despite similarities, Loki and Blackbeard have taken distinct routes in their opposition to the Government, but both are considered worthy successors to the legacy of Rocks D. Xebec.
