Now that the Traunts Don’t Need a Reason challenge is over in Borderlands 4, a free SHiFT code for the Gravitar, Harlowe, is available! This code is one of several free rewards Borderlands 4 has been giving to players, offering things like Golden Keys and new character skins.
Even with the availability of free SHiFT codes, Borderlands 4 continues to release new content. A Halloween event called Horrors of Kairos is coming soon, along with a significant game update designed to balance powerful and weak character builds – specifically, addressing issues with Vex’s bleed build and melee-focused builds. After that, on November 20th, players can purchase the How Rush Saved Mercenary Day Bounty Pack, which is the first paid downloadable content for Borderlands 4. In the meantime, there’s another skin available for players to unlock.
Borderlands 4 Harlowe ‘Maliwannabee’ Skin SHiFT Code

Players of Borderlands 4 can now get a free skin for Harlowe! Use the code J96JT-BCXKT-C6JJ5-JTJBB-BZTXJ in the game’s SHiFT menu or on the official SHiFT website to claim the Maliwannabee skin. The game’s Twitter account announced that players unlocked this reward by completing a massive 571,670 Contracts as Harlowe – far exceeding the original goal of 350,000 for the ‘Traunts Don’t Need a Reason’ community challenge.
The Maliwannabee SHiFT skin is available until December 31, 2030, and takes its design from the character Harlowe’s appearance in the “Family Reunion” short film, released shortly before Borderlands 4 came out. Interestingly, this skin isn’t based on Harlowe’s usual colors, but instead uses the color scheme of her brother, Ephraim, who she fights soon after they meet. The skin is pale green and slate blue, and includes the Maliwan logo on the chest and a pouch at the waist.
It’s currently unknown if Borderlands 4 will keep offering community challenges that unlock free cosmetic skins for your characters. However, the recent challenges have finished one complete cycle, meaning every character now has a skin inspired by the original promotional shorts. Since the skins released so far have mostly just been recolors, future challenges might include more significant character customization options, like new bodies and heads.
