On their latest update at X, Game Science developers declared that the game Black Myth: Wukong has been formally labeled as “gold,” signifying that its development process has come to a close.
The team confirmed that the game will come out on time, and they’re diligently completing the final phases of playtesting, tweaking, and launch preparations for the game.

Pre-orders for the game “Black Myth: Wukong” can be made now on PlayStation 5, Steam, the Epic Games Store, and WeGame. Despite the fact that “Black Myth: Wukong” has reached the gold stage, its version for Xbox is yet to announce a definite release date.
In June 2024, Game Science initially disclosed that the release of the Xbox Series X|S would be postponed. As stated on the pre-order FAQ page, the developers are continuing to fine-tune the Xbox Series X|S edition in order to match our quality benchmarks.
As a result, the Xbox version will not be available at launch with the other platforms.
According to Game Science, “We regret the hold-up and are working hard to shorten the time you’ll have to wait for Xbox gamers.” Meanwhile, the developers assure us that they will share the release date only when it aligns with their high quality expectations.
Microsoft subsequently released an ambiguous comment, suggesting a possible reason behind the postponement of Black Myth: Wukong’s release date on Xbox.
