Honedge, a popular Pokémon originally from the Kalos region, is back in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Honedge and its evolved forms are powerful additions to your team, but you’ll only be able to find Honedge in one particular spot.
In Lumiose City, wild Pokémon are usually found in designated Wild Zones, and Honedge is one of them. Although it might appear to be a rare Pokémon only found in certain areas, it’s actually quite accessible. Here’s a guide on where to find and evolve Honedge in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A Honedge Location
Honedge can be found in Wild Zone 4, which is north of Lumiose City. As one of the first Wild Zones you unlock in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, you’ll be able to catch a Honedge soon after you begin exploring the city.
Okay, so I’ve been trying to find Honedge, and it’s a bit tricky! It only shows up at night, which is annoying. I figured out you can change the time by using a bench or your bed at the Hotel Z. I’ve had the most luck finding it in the southeast corner of Wild Zone 4, near those rocks you can break. Just a heads up – there’s only one Honedge in the whole zone, so if you scare it off, you’ll have to wait and come back later for it to reappear.
Since Honedge only appears at night, using Dusk Balls is a great way to boost your capture chances.
How to Evolve Honedge in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Honedge has two possible evolutions. It first evolves into Doublade at level 35. Then, you can evolve Doublade into Aegislash by using a Dusk Stone – there’s no level requirement for this final evolution, so you can do it whenever you’re ready.
In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, you can buy a Dusk Stone at the Stone Emporium, but it’s not available until you’ve progressed far into the main story. Before that, you’ll have to rely on finding one while exploring Lumiose City. Keep in mind that several Pokemon need a Dusk Stone to evolve, so you might want to save your first one instead of using it right away on an Aegislash!
