The Elbaf arc in One Piece is bringing the story closer to its epic finale, and things are definitely going to intensify. Currently, the story is centered around a flashback detailing the history of Loki, which has unveiled a wealth of fascinating details about the One Piece world and introduced compelling characters like Rocks D. Xebec.

The flashback has unexpectedly shown off some unbelievably strong Devil Fruit abilities, and Imu’s power stands out as the most overwhelming. Since Imu can transform into a Demon, it’s clear they have Devil Fruit powers, but their abilities go far beyond anything we’ve seen before. They can make deals with evil forces, grant immortality, and even turn opponents into allies. Imu is shaping up to be the greatest and most dangerous enemy in the entire One Piece world, and their Devil Fruit is undoubtedly the most powerful. Similar to how Joy Boy possessed the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, Imu appears to have a power related to a god, specifically an evil one. We don’t yet know the specifics of Imu’s ability, but the author, Oda, will likely reveal it eventually.

Imu’s powers seem to center around evil, much like Luffy’s are based on freedom. This is highlighted by the name of their contract, Akuwaru (or Aqwarl), as ‘Aku’ and ‘Waru’ in Japanese relate to ‘Evil’ and ‘Bad’ respectively. Through this contract, Imu can use an ability called Domi Reversi to enslave anyone – and surprisingly, this isn’t limited to weaker characters. Even the strongest fighters in the One Piece world, like the Yonko or even the Pirate King, could be instantly turned into Imu’s slaves, making Imu incredibly powerful and difficult to defeat.

Imu Is One Piece’s Strongest Character

Imu’s most impressive ability is likely Domi Reversi, but they definitely have other powers. We know Imu can make deals with people, and Akuwaru has many uses because of this. For example, Imu can grant immortality and an undying body in exchange for a portion of someone’s lifespan. They also have access to a variety of magic through a spellbook, and there are likely even more contracts and abilities that Imu hasn’t revealed yet.

Imu is undoubtedly the strongest character in One Piece, far surpassing legends like Roger and Garp. Currently, only the ancient Joy Boy was on Imu’s level, and Luffy still has a long way to go to reach that power.

One Piece Chapter 1163 is scheduled for release this week, as usual on Sundays.
