Black Ops 6 set to bring back two fan-favorite modes missing for years

As a seasoned gamer with a decade-long history of Call of Duty adventures under my belt, the news about Black Ops 6 bringing back two of my long-lost favorites – Uplink and Prop Hunt – has sent me on an emotional rollercoaster. The anticipation is palpable!

Information about Black Ops 6 has been hard to avoid, as numerous leaks seem to suggest that two well-liked game modes from past years will make a comeback.

On August 4th, an influx of leaks about Black Ops 6 surfaced online, disclosing the weapons, Scorestreaks, and even a fresh Warzone map. However, with further revelations, it seems that two popular game modes are set for a return – Uplink and Prop Hunt.

According to information from the ‘Call of Duty Warfare’ leak, there’s a game mode called Uplink where players are required to transport a satellite drone to the opposing team’s Uplink Station to earn a point. However, the player carrying the drone must hold it similarly to a ball.

As a fan, I’m excited about the temporary disarmament rule in this match. Although our favorite players won’t be able to wield their weapons, they’ve been granted additional health and speed to boost their survival chances. The opposing team will try to seize the drone for points or protection, but our team can hurl it to earn points or pass it straight to teammates. It’s going to be an exhilarating show of skill and strategy!

Since 2017’s Infinite Warfare, the multiplayer mode known as Uplink has been absent from the Call of Duty series, leaving fans without an opportunity to play it for nearly seven years now.

According to ‘Forward Leaks,’ it’s anticipated that the game mode Prop Hunt, a favorite among parties and featured in numerous FPS games, will make its return in Black Ops 6. In this mode, players can camouflage themselves by transforming into various objects, aiming to evade the player chosen as the hunter.

In this scenario, the transformable items vary from small ornaments such as potted plants to significant structures like phone booths. The goal is to last the longest, but it becomes increasingly challenging since every item turned into an adversary remains on the opposing team after being discovered and neutralized.

Since the last time we enjoyed Prop Hunt back in 2020’s Black Ops Cold War, I can’t wait to dive back into this fun-filled game mode again! Fans like me are undoubtedly excited to give it another go.

Nevertheless, remember that the information comes from leaked sources, and at this point, it hasn’t been officially verified.

The Black Ops 6 beta starts on August 30, which means we’ll find out if games like Uplink or Prop Hunt are included during the testing phase. Regardless, this beta is going to be our first look at how the new collection of Perks and Equipment performs in action.
