As a dedicated Fortnite player who’s been through countless seasons and countless hours of gaming, I must say I’m both excited and apprehensive about this latest announcement. On one hand, the prospect of getting my hands on those elusive Battle Pass items that I missed out on in the past is tantalizing. Who wouldn’t want a second chance at that Cursed Sails Outfit or that legendary Pickaxe?


In their latest blog update, the Fortnite developers have revealed that certain Battle Pass items might no longer be exclusively available. Instead, these items could potentially show up in the Item Shop following a specific duration.

Hey fellow gamers! In today’s chat, I wanna share some insights about our future Battle Passes. Here’s the thing: Some of the sweet loot you might see in these Battle Passes could pop up for grabs in the Shop 18 months or more after the Battle Pass has ended its run. So keep an eye out, you never know what might show up!

A variety of goods could appear in the store at some point, such as clothing, accessories, weapons, and so forth. However, it’s important to note that not all items are permanent and may disappear from the store. The team has promised to inform you if an item is discontinued permanently.

Future updates on Fortnite’s Battle Pass: Some items previously available only within the Battle Pass could be made available for separate purchase in the shop at least 18 months following the Battle Pass’ end. Learn more here.

If Battle Pass items appear in the store, they might not have alternative styles available. However, fans should anticipate seeing LEGO styles when a Battle Pass item reappears.

Today’s post underscores the consistency of the advantages tied to the Battle Pass, and it’s worth noting that rewards earned through Battle Pass Missions may eventually become available for purchase within the Shop.

The Fortnite developers have shared that this adjustment allows them to keep pouring resources into developing fresh and captivating Battle Pass prizes. Moreover, they highlighted their intention to offer outfits modeled after well-known licensed characters for players to utilize in the future.

At the moment, Fortnite doesn’t intend to alter the pricing of upcoming Battle Passes, which seems like a shrewd decision considering the criticism Apex Legends received due to their Battle Pass revamp.
