The man’s ability to farm Mythic Uniques like they’re going out of style is nothing short of legendary. It feels like we’ve all been playing this game wrong our whole lives, and here comes Rob2628, showing us the ropes.
As an avid Diablo fan, I’ve just learned a trick straight from Rob2628’s stream about maximizing Mythic Unique drop rates in Diablo 4 during Season 5. In mere minutes, he was able to amass several Mythic Uniques from boss runs using this method!
Season 5 kicked off on August 6, and there has already been so much going on, from useful bugs to XP glitches. And now, Rob2628 has come forward with another overpowered mechanic to make Mythic Unique farming easier than ever.
In the Eternal Realm, during the battle against the Tormented Lord Zir, it turned out that he was quite fortunate, as he swiftly obtained two exceptional mythic items, demonstrating that the increased drop rate for mythics wasn’t just an idle boast.
In the current season, Blizzard has significantly boosted the likelihood of obtaining a Mythic Unique item from Tormented bosses. Following the most recent update, there is now approximately a 1 in 13 chance (7.5%) to receive a Mythic Unique item from Tormented Echoes.
As a devoted player, I recently succeeded in snatching the elusive Harlequin Crest from the challenging encounter with Lord Zir’s Tormented Echo – one of the scarcest treasures in the game! It appears that battling these bosses repeatedly is the quickest route to acquire the coveted Uber Unique item I desire.
Apart from Lord Zir, any Tormented Echo boss could also be used for this purpose. For instance, you can gather the materials needed to battle Varshan earlier in your gameplay. In case you find just one Stygian Stone, you’d have the opportunity to engage him and give it a try.
Players are concerned that Blizzard might weaken (or reduce the power of) the highly effective Mythic Unique farm before they can fully utilize it themselves.
