I’m so excited! It looks like Stray is going to be one of the free games for PS Plus Essential in November 2025! That’s awesome news because it’s a really popular game, and usually you only get to play it if you have one of the more expensive PS Plus subscriptions. This means a lot more people will get to experience it!
Originally launched in 2022 as a game only available on PlayStation, Stray quickly became popular, attracting over four million players. In Stray, you play as a cat accompanied by a drone named B-12, and together you explore a city enclosed by walls, inhabited by robots, machines, and strange bacteria, all while trying to find a way back to the outside world. The game has been highly praised for how it portrays the cat, its clever level design, and beautiful visuals, currently holding an average critic score of 84 on OpenCritic.
Rumor: Stray Will Be One of the PS Plus Essential Games of November 2025
A new report indicates that the popular game Stray will be available as a free download for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers in November 2025. Players will be able to add it to their game library starting November 4th, and it will remain accessible as long as they maintain their PS Plus subscription. This isn’t entirely unexpected, as Stray was initially included with PS Plus Extra when it first launched and has consistently been one of the service’s most-played titles. This will be a great chance for anyone who hasn’t yet experienced the game.
It’s always wise to be skeptical of leaks, but Billbil-Kun has proven reliable in the past. This makes it likely that Stray will be added to PlayStation Plus in November. We’ll find out for sure when PlayStation announces the full lineup of games for PS Plus on October 29.
In October 2025, PlayStation Plus Essential members could claim three games. The biggest draw was Alan Wake 2, a multi-award-winning title from The Game Awards 2024, alongside Cocoon and Goat Simulator 3.
2025 has been a strong year for PlayStation Plus Essential so far. Subscribers have enjoyed several well-received games, including titles like Psychonauts 2, Lies of P, Diablo 4, Balatro, and High of Life. While it’s still unknown what other games will be added before the year ends, November is shaping up to be another great month for subscribers.
