Be warned: this article reveals major plot details from the first part of the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle arc, as well as from the Demon Slayer manga. If you haven’t seen or read these, you may encounter spoilers.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 has become the highest-grossing anime film of all time in Japan. Beyond its box office success, the movie has dramatically increased fan excitement for the Demon Slayer series. Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Infinity Castle Part 2, which promises to showcase some of the series’ strongest characters.
Following the defeat of characters like Akaza in the first film, the next movie will introduce new, formidable opponents, including Kokushibo and Gyomei, the Stone Hashira.
Mitsuri
The Love Hashira
Mitsuri, the Love Hashira, is incredibly strong, even compared to the other Hashira. We saw a glimpse of her power during the Swordsman Village arc when she single-handedly fought and held off the former Upper Rank Four until dawn.
In the next Demon Slayer movie, Mitsuri will battle Upper Rank 4 again, but this time against Nakime, a recently promoted demon who completely controls the Infinity Castle. However, her true strength will be showcased in the ultimate showdown with Muzan, not in this upcoming film.
Obanai
The Serpent Hashira
Obanai will play a key role in the second part of the Infinity Castle arc, but his most impactful scene will be in the upcoming Demon Slayer movie. He’s set to battle Nakime, the Upper Rank Four demon. While his contribution might not be immediately obvious, it will be crucial to the events of the movie, both during the fight with Nakime and in what happens afterward. He still has a lot to offer the story.
Giyu
The Water Hashira
Giyu was a central figure in the first Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1 movie. He fought alongside Tanjiro against the powerful Upper Rank Three demon, Akaza. Although the battle was incredibly difficult, they managed to survive because Akaza chose to end his own life, giving them time to prepare for future challenges.
Giyu is still a very powerful Hashira and will appear in the upcoming movie. However, after a tough first fight, he’ll be recovering and won’t have a large role in the second part of the Infinity Castle arc. He’ll be back in full force to fight Muzan in the final movie.
Sanemi
The Wind Hashira
Honestly, Sanemi is a total powerhouse – easily one of the strongest Hashira we’ve ever seen! As the Wind Hashira, he’s about to have the fight of his life in the second part of the Infinity Castle arc. He and a few others are going up against Kokushibo, and it’s going to be an incredible battle!
Sanemi’s powerful and aggressive fighting style was crucial in the battle, and without his contributions, the others likely wouldn’t have been able to defeat the incredibly strong Upper Rank One demon.
Gyomei
The Stone Hashira
When considering the Hashira, Gyomei, the Stone Hashira, is clearly the most powerful. His age and experience set him apart, and he will be among those battling Kokushibo.
The battles in Infinity Castle Part 2 will be incredibly challenging, but Gyomei will prove he deserves his reputation as the strongest Hashira.
Nakime
The Upper Rank Four Demon
Before the final battle in the Infinity Castle, Muzan promoted Nakime to Upper Rank Four, and she’s proven worthy of the title. Her unique abilities are crucial to the entire fight, and defeating her will likely cause the Infinity Castle to fall apart. This makes taking down Nakime a vital step in defeating Muzan, the Demon King.
Doma
The Upper Rank Two Demon
Doma is a powerful demon, ranking as Upper Rank Two. The first movie began the conflict with him, initiated by Shinobu. Unfortunately, Doma killed Shinobu and absorbed her power, allowing him to remain a formidable opponent in the ongoing battle within Infinity Castle Part 2.
Kanao and Inosuke are about to face a tough opponent, and it will be exciting to see how they perform in this important fight within the second part of the Infinity Castle arc.
Kokushibo
The Upper Rank One Demon
Kokushibo is easily Muzan’s most powerful follower. Because fans have been eager to see more of his story, he’ll be featured prominently in the second part of the Infinity Castle arc.
The long-awaited confrontation is about to begin, and he’ll be facing incredibly strong opponents – the Hashira. This is predicted to be his most challenging battle yet, so much so that it will take four demon slayers working together to stand a chance against him.
Muzan
The Demon King
Currently, Muzan is undeniably the most powerful character in Demon Slayer. With Yoriichi, the only one who could have defeated him, now deceased, no one remains capable of challenging him alone.
Muzan is the series’ main villain, and the final battle against him will take place after the events of Infinity Castle Part 2. Fans are excited to see what he’ll do as the fighting intensifies.
