As a huge Zelda fan, I’m used to getting a new game almost every year, whether it’s a big new adventure or a fun spin-off. 2025 was especially great – we got updated versions of Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom for the Switch 2 this summer, and then Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment came out in November! Of course, waiting for a completely new, mainline Zelda game on a home console takes a bit longer. It’s usually about six years between each big release, like with Skyward Sword, Breath of the Wild, and Tears of the Kingdom.

In Fire and Ash, the story continues to follow the Metkayina Na’vi, while also introducing a new group called the Mangkwan Clan, known as the Ash people. Following the conflict with Colonel Miles Quaritch in The Way of Water, Jake Sully now faces a new threat from the hostile Mangkwan Clan. Fire and Ash delivers an exciting showdown between Jake Sully and both Quaritch and the Mangkwan Clan, with a spectacular and action-packed finale that resolves the storylines begun in The Way of Water. This leaves audiences eager to see what James Cameron has planned for the future of Avatar in the fourth film.

Following the huge success of Undertale, Deltarune tells a new story in a completely different world. The first chapter came out on PC in October 2018, with versions for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch arriving shortly after. Players who jumped in at the beginning had to wait nearly three years for Chapter 2, which launched in September 2021. The release of Deltarune Chapters 3 & 4 took even longer, finally appearing on all platforms in June 2025, coinciding with the release of the Nintendo Switch 2. With three more chapters still to come, future releases are expected to come much sooner, though the exact timing remains unknown.

As a huge fan of the Naruto series, I’ve always been blown away by Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage! He was seriously considered one of the most powerful ninjas ever. For a long time, nobody could really compare to him – only those who awakened Six Paths powers eventually reached his level. Even now, he’s a total legend, and Konoha still feels the loss of his strength and leadership. It’s amazing to think that Konoha might finally have someone who could live up to his legacy!

In the world of One Piece, Haki and Devil Fruits are the two most powerful abilities. These are the main sources of power, but they work in different ways. Devil Fruits are essentially magical fruits – they cause the user to lose the ability to swim, but in return, grant incredible powers. These powers fall into three types: Logia, Zoan, and Paramecia. While Devil Fruits always increase a character’s strength, the specific powers they grant can vary greatly.

Battlefield 6 has been a big win for EA, initially outselling this year’s Call of Duty release. Battlefield Studios has consistently kept players interested after launch with regular updates throughout Season 1, which ended with the ‘Winter Offensive’ chapter on December 9th. While the game had a strong start, keeping players engaged long-term in the competitive world of live-service games has been a challenge. Despite this, fans generally like the new content, and there’s optimism that Battlefield 6 will continue to improve in 2026.

Studio Wildcard’s Ark: Survival Evolved is nearing its 10-year anniversary in 2027, and the game has changed a lot over time. Initially, the developers didn’t plan for Ark to last this long; they intended to release a sequel and then shut down the original servers. However, players protested, so Studio Wildcard changed course and released ARK Survival Ascended, a revamped version of the original game built with Unreal Engine 5. Information about the planned sequel has been limited, but fans now know when to expect its release.

To begin the RuneScape: Dragonwilds Fellhollow expansion, players must first finish the “Dragon Slayer” quest in the original game and then defeat the dragon Velgar, who can be found at the top of Velgar’s Rise.
