The superhero fighting game, Invincible VS, will hold a closed alpha test for four days in late November. Developers also revealed two new playable characters: Robot and Monster Girl. Although fans knew a test was planned since October, a recent trailer confirmed the timing for those selected to participate.
Developed by Quarter Up and published by Skybound Games, the upcoming fighting game Invincible VS is a three-on-three battle arena based on the Invincible comic series and animated show. Announced in early June and slated for release in 2026, the game will feature a wide range of recognizable characters and locations. The development team includes veterans from the 2013 fighting game Killer Instinct.
Invincible VS Closed Alpha Test Dates
- Friday, November 21 – Monday, November 24
The developers recently revealed a trailer and announced that a limited number of players will be able to try out an early version of the game starting November 21st. This closed alpha test will run until November 24th. If you’re a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S player, you can sign up for a chance to participate through a link on the official Invincible VS website. This is a chance to be among the first to play the game, see how it works, and share feedback to help shape the future of Invincible in the fighting game world. While the game is also planned for PC release on Steam, only console players can participate in this initial alpha test.
The new trailer for Invincible VS highlights the game’s two latest characters, Robot and Monster Girl, while also confirming when players can first try it out. The trailer features almost two minutes of gameplay showcasing these allies of Mark Grayson, both fighting together and against each other. Monster Girl, despite being in her 20s, can transform between the appearance of a 12-year-old girl and a powerful, incredibly strong green monster. Alongside her is Robot, a gifted but physically weak scientist who overcomes his limitations with a durable mechanical body.
Robert Kirkman, who’s heavily involved in making the game alongside the comic’s artists Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, has promised a huge and exciting character lineup for Invincible VS. He’s confident that if a fan can name an Invincible character, they’ll probably be playable. Previously, only Invincible, Omni-Man, Atom Eve, Rex Splode, Bulletproof, Battle Beast, Lucan, Thula, and Cecil Stedman were confirmed. With so few characters revealed so far, we can expect many more announcements before the game launches in 2026.
