A new free-to-play Battle Royale mode called Battlefield RedSec has unexpectedly arrived with the launch of Battlefield 6 Season 1. Players parachute into Fort Lyndon and fight to be the last one alive as a dangerous storm closes in.
Battlefield RedSec is quickly becoming a popular Battle Royale game, attracting players from all over. You’ll likely encounter opponents with powerful, customized weapons, but don’t worry – you can unlock and create your own custom loadouts in Battlefield RedSec too. Here’s a guide to help you do it.
How to Set Up Custom Weapons for Battlefield RedSec

To use custom weapons in Battlefield RedSec, you’ll first need to set them up. You can do this in the pre-game lobby by simply favoriting the weapons you want. Go to the Loadouts section, choose any class, and click on the weapon currently equipped for that class. From there, select the custom weapon you want, click ‘Modify’, and then click ‘Favorite’. This will save your custom build so it’s ready to use when you play Battlefield RedSec.
You can now save your most-used weapons in a new Favorite Section. Keep in mind that you can only have up to 8 favorites at once, so you’ll need to remove some to make room for new ones.
How to Get Custom Weapons in Battlefield RedSec

In Battlefield RedSec, you can find special weapons by locating Custom Weapon Drops. These appear randomly during a match, especially when the safe zone changes. When you’re near one, its location will be marked on your map and on the screen.

When you find a Custom Weapon Drop, go up to it and press the button to open it. Inside, you can choose any weapon you previously saved as a favorite, complete with all its attachments and customizations. Keep in mind you can only take one weapon from each drop, so pick carefully!
Everyone on your team can request custom weapon drops. Just be careful – enemies will probably be trying to intercept them, so make sure to check your surroundings and secure the landing zone first to avoid getting ambushed.
