The mobile game, launched last October, was a huge hit, earning millions in revenue and downloads. It reportedly made $400 million in just two months and surpassed 100 million downloads in six months. Now, the game is celebrating a very successful first year.
This week marked the first anniversary of Pokemon TCG Pocket, celebrated with a new set release, special gifts, and more! The mobile game launched the “Mega Rising” expansion on October 29th, introducing Mega Pokemon as a new gameplay feature and including a special event where players could earn promo cards. To celebrate, Pokemon TCG Pocket gave away three free packs from the new set and ran a contest where 100 players won valuable in-game items. Players have opened a massive 18 billion in-game packs, and created over 490 million Showcases.
