Ironically, these ordinary environments – places where people usually feel secure from threats like monsters or danger – can prove to be fertile grounds for horror stories.

However, Yeoundu High School has had its share of misfortune, with a classroom fire that claimed one student’s life, adding another spirit to its haunted population.

Investigating Yeondu High School after dark is downright chilling; it’s unlike any other building. The school seems to be haunted by ghostly apparitions and an unforgiving janitor who relentlessly pursues the player, making survival a challenge. The endless corridors and numerous rooms create a vast maze that can easily lead you astray, trapping you in a dead-end with no prospects of escape from impending doom. Truly, there’s never been a game more fittingly titled.

However, as is often the case in horror narratives, their quest soon took a turn for the worse – the helicopter crashed, leaving Lynn missing and the pilot dead. With only his trusty camera for protection, Blake now finds himself in a race against time to locate his wife.

In addition to investigating mysterious rural hamlets, gamers may unexpectedly find themselves immersed in chilling flashbacks set in a deserted school. During these sequences, players are hunted by a malevolent entity, providing crucial background information while also creating some of the game’s most haunting moments. Each corner I turn and door I open becomes a test of my courage, ratcheting up the tension as I delve deeper into this haunting school.

During Taiwan’s White Terror era, students Wei and Ray encounter a terrifying supernatural ordeal when they are stranded at Greenwood High during a typhoon that clears the campus of all tutors and pupils. The eerie atmosphere of the abandoned school is already unsettling, but as in the style of Silent Hill, the school transforms into a nightmarish landscape.

As Ray, I navigate through the eerie corridors of Greenwood High, a place where monsters lurk around every corner and there’s nowhere to hide except in the shadows. The horrifying sights – like the chilling scene of Wei’s demise – are designed to rattle my nerves, and they do just that. This game is a heart-stopping journey that leaves me on edge from start to finish. It might be a metaphor for the hardships students faced back then, but one thing’s for sure: Greenwood High will haunt me long after I’ve watched the end credits.

This school is home to unsettling entities like the Grey Children who can be equally disturbing as they are irritating. The metamorphosis of this school into a haunting landscape adds an extra layer of terror, making the exploration all the more exhilarating.
