As a researcher with a keen interest in blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies, I find myself constantly monitoring the activities of key players in this dynamic field. Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, is one such figure whose moves often set trends or spark discussions within the community.
According to information from cryptocurrency analysis tool Lookonchain, Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, recently moved 200 Ether (equivalent to approximately $534,000) into the Kraken digital exchange.
The second-largest cryptocurrency is changing hands at $2,647, down 3% over the past 24 hours.
Via Ethereum, Buterin moved approximately 3,000 ETH (equivalent to $8.05 million at the time) to a multisignature wallet on August 9. According to Lookonchain, this transaction might have been a charitable contribution.
On August 5th, a Canadian programmer transferred approximately 3,000 Ether (valued at around $7 million at the time) to another digital wallet.
Buterin is believed to hold roughly more than half a billion dollars worth of ETH.
Around the first week of August, he additionally converted all his Neiro tokens into 112.5 Ether, which was equivalent to their value at that time. Later on, the Neiro team granted Buterin a 4% stake in the total supply of these Neiro tokens.
It’s important to point out that on multiple occasions, Buterin has advised cryptocurrency initiatives not to transfer tokens to him.
