Naruto Uzumaki is a hugely popular character in the Boruto series, and many consider him the most powerful ninja ever. His lifelong dream was to become the leader of Konoha, and despite facing numerous challenges, he ultimately achieved that goal.

Naruto Uzumaki has been Hokage for a while now, but recent events in the Boruto manga have led to a change in leadership for Konoha. With Lord Seventh unavailable, several individuals are being considered to take his place. While some are more capable than others, a few have the potential to be excellent Hokage and successfully follow in Naruto’s footsteps.

Konohamaru Sarutobi

Konohamaru is currently considered the strongest of the Sarutobi clan, and he’s grown up around incredibly powerful Hokage. As the grandson of the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, and the apprentice of the Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki, he’s always been destined for greatness. Konohamaru dreams of becoming Hokage himself, and many believe he has the potential to succeed Naruto. While he’s still developing his skills – as shown in his recent fight with Matsuri – he’s expected to become much stronger in the Boruto series. He’s a strong contender to become the Eighth Hokage, and fans anticipate he’ll mature into a leader capable of taking on the role.

Shikamaru Nara

The Unofficial 8th Hokage

Currently, the village of Konoha doesn’t have an officially appointed Hokage. While Naruto Uzumaki was the last, and Shikamaru Nara stepped in after Naruto’s absence, Shikamaru is only acting as Hokage temporarily. He’s intentionally avoiding taking the position permanently, partly because he knows Naruto is still alive. It’s unlikely he’ll become the 8th Hokage anytime soon, and accepting the role could even be seen as a betrayal if it appears he’s working with Naruto.

Considering those currently in Konoha, Sakura Haruno is the most deserving candidate to become Hokage. As Tsunade Senju’s protégé, she’s proven herself more than capable of leading the village. Sakura is not only incredibly strong and intelligent, but she’s also a skilled leader and has even surpassed her mentor’s abilities, making her a better protector of Konoha. With both Naruto and Sasuke unavailable, Sakura would be the ideal successor right now.

Sasuke Uchiha

The Other Hokage Of Konoha

Many fans believe Sasuke would be an excellent Hokage in the Boruto series, even considered by some as a potential ‘Other Hokage.’ While he’s currently seen as a traitor and is incapacitated, it’s likely he’ll return to action before Naruto. His return is tied to the defeat of Hidari, whereas Naruto won’t be free until after Boruto and Kawaki’s battle. This means Sasuke could return to the village and become a strong candidate for Hokage, possessing the experience and power to effectively replace Naruto as leader.

Sarada Uchiha

The Future Hokage Of Konoha

Konoha is currently without a Hokage, which is causing some disarray. Fortunately, the village has a clear future leader in Sarada Uchiha, who is determined to become the next Hokage. Sarada is the most promising successor to Naruto Uzumaki, and she’s uniquely positioned to continue his legacy. She embodies the spirit of Konoha and deeply values the well-being of all its citizens.

Sarada is a natural leader, consistently demonstrating her ability to take charge. She’s also become exceptionally powerful after awakening her Mangekyo Sharingan, and she’s still growing stronger. It’s clear she’s destined to become Hokage and will be a worthy successor to Naruto.
