Later, Empress Julia will find out Lucius was being quite demanding about her birthday celebration. As a result, she’ll replace the funds he requested with a larger sum. Although he only asked for 5,000 Denarii, she’ll give you 11,000 gold. Considering your contributions of food, time, and materials, the effort will have been worthwhile.

Choose To Refuse Giving Lucius Money In Anno 117 Pax Romana

If you don’t pay Lucius, he’ll become upset. When you’re playing as Marcus, he’ll verbally attack the governor and warn that others will suffer the consequences.

Similar to the previous choice, this won’t resolve your anger in the long run. The key difference is you won’t receive the 11,000 Denarii from Julia later on, making all the work you put into moving cargo pointless.
