A new Ranked season is coming to Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and Season 3 will feature new rewards, including the highly anticipated debut of another Mega Pokémon.
The ranking system in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has been a point of contention, as some powerful Mega Pokémon were initially only available to players who reached high ranks. However, the requirements to unlock these Pokémon and their rewards have been adjusted to make them more accessible to a wider range of players.
Season 3 is almost here! TopMob has the inside scoop on the release date and all the rewards you can unlock.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A Season 3 Ranked Start Date

Okay, so Season 3 of Ranked in Pokémon Legends: Z-A is kicking off on November 27th. That means Season 2 has to finish up first, but I’m already getting hyped for the new ranked climb!
I just found out when Season 3 ends – December 18th! It looks like it overlaps with the release of the Mega Dimension DLC, so we’ll probably have some limitations on which Pokémon we can use. It’s likely any Pokémon we catch in the DLC won’t be usable during the season, which is a bit of a bummer, but understandable.
However, Zygarde will be useable in Season 3 of Ranked for the first time.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A Season 3 Ranked Start Times
While there’s no official confirmation yet, Season 3 is likely to start at 6 AM UTC on November 27th, mirroring the launch times of past seasons.
Here’s a schedule showing when Ranked Season 3 will start in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, based on your time zone.
| Time Zone | Season 3 Ranked Start Time |
|---|---|
| Pacific Time (PT) | 11 PM – Nov. 26 |
| Central Time (CT) | 1 AM – Nov. 27 |
| Eastern Time (ET) | 2 AM – Nov. 27 |
| Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) | 6 AM – Nov. 27 |
| Australian Eastern Time (AET) | 4 PM – Nov. 27 |
Pokémon Legends: Z-A Season 3 Ranked Rewards
The main prize for playing Ranked mode in Season 3 of Legends: Z-A is Chesnaughtite, which lets you unlock and use Mega Chesnaught.
As a Pokémon Legends: Z-A fan, I was excited to learn about Chesnaughtite being the final Mega Stone you can earn in the main game through ranked battles, just like Greninjite and Delphoxite. But it sounds like the trend of locking Mega Evolutions behind ranked play will continue! They’ve already announced that Mega Baxcalibur, which comes with the Mega Dimension DLC, will also require ranked participation in a future season to unlock. It’s a bit of a grind, but I’m up for the challenge if it means getting all the Mega Pokémon!
Season 3 of Ranked play will offer extra rewards like Rare Candies, EXP Candies, and useful Held Items for your Pokémon.
