Even though the extraction shooter ARC Raiders is very popular, some players are unhappy with the Bettina assault rifle. They feel it’s not powerful enough for how rare it is. ARC Raiders launched on October 30th and is playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Embark Studios is consistently updating ARC Raiders, adjusting weapons and items to create the best possible gameplay experience. These updates, which include bug fixes and balance changes, are essential for online games, especially those with player-versus-player combat. In the recent 1.3.0 patch, the developers focused on a couple of weapons that were proving too powerful. The Venator, which had become a popular choice, now fires slower and is slightly heavier. The Hullcracker was also adjusted, with its explosive damage reduced after being particularly effective against larger enemies. While some players are unhappy with the changes to the Venator and Hullcracker, others are requesting that Embark Studios look at improving a weapon that isn’t performing well.
Arc Raiders Players Want a Bettina Buff
A Reddit user named moepossum1 recently shared their disappointment with the Bettina assault rifle in ARC Raiders. Despite fully upgrading the weapon and equipping it with the best available mods, they found its performance underwhelming. They’d rather use the Stitcher or Kettle – two common weapons that are easier to get and require fewer resources. These weapons are also readily available as free starting loadouts, making them much more accessible.
Moepossum1 pointed out that Bettina didn’t seem very durable, requiring a lot of repairs after each match. Other players agreed, saying that constantly fixing the weapon was costing them valuable resources in ARC Raiders. Many also felt the weapon’s damage output was too low for its rarity. Its slow firing rate and high ammo consumption suggest it should be more effective at taking down enemies.
It’s uncertain how Embark Studios will address player concerns about the Bettina weapon, but many hope it will be improved soon. The developers have shown they’re paying attention to player feedback – the recent 1.3.0 update added the ability to decorate rooms with ducks in ARC Raiders, a feature players had specifically asked for. With plenty of content already available and more planned, fans are generally positive about the game’s future.
