Elon Musk Hints At Dogecoin’s Return as Tesla Merchandise Payment After Court Win

As a seasoned crypto investor with a penchant for the unconventional, I find Elon Musk’s recent hints about Tesla accepting Dogecoin once again as a payment method to be quite intriguing. Having witnessed the rollercoaster ride that is the crypto market, I can confidently say that Musk’s influence on the price of Dogecoin cannot be underestimated.

Elon Musk, who currently holds the title of the world’s wealthiest individual, has subtly suggested a potential future where Dogecoin (DOGE) is accepted again as a payment option for Tesla merchandise. This comes after his victory in a court case alleging him of artificially inflating the value of the leading meme currency, Dogecoin.

Musk Suggests Tesla Could Soon Begin Accepting Dogecoin Again

As an analyst, I’m sharing that Elon Musk, co-founder of Tesla, hinted in a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), that the automotive company might soon resume accepting Dogecoin once more. In response to a post from Sir Doge, a notable figure within the DOGE community, who inquired about who else desires Tesla to reintroduce Dogecoin as a payment option for merchandise transactions, Musk simply replied ‘Me.’

Elon Musk’s expression of preference for Dogecoin to be reinstated as a payment method for Tesla merchandise implies that the possibility could materialize rather swiftly given his influential role in making it a reality. Previously, Musk had also hinted at Dogecoin being accepted as a means of purchasing Tesla vehicles in the future.

1. Elon Musk’s affection towards Dogecoin implies that he is actively interested in its progression. In fact, he recently emphasized his fondness for the popular meme-based cryptocurrency, expressing a “soft spot” for it and indicating that he doesn’t favor other digital tokens as much.

Following his recent legal exoneration, Elon Musk might be encouraged to reinstate Dogecoin as a payment option for Tesla goods due to his victory in a court case that alleged manipulation of Dogecoin’s price. The world’s wealthiest individual and the automotive firm were cleared of any wrongdoing by a federal judge in this lawsuit.

The lawsuit could have been why Tesla initially removed Dogecoin as a payment method. With the legal battle out of the way, the company can reintroduce Dogecoin as a payment option for buying merchandise in its store. Such a move will undoubtedly be a bullish development for the foremost meme coin and could increase its price as Dogecoin gains more utility.

Musk Continues To Support DOGE

In another post, Musk expressed agreement with Sir Doge’s observation about a problem that not only the world’s wealthiest individual and his businesses are facing, but also Starlink. This difficulty arose after the Brazilian government blocked the X platform in the country, and surprisingly, they also froze the bank accounts of Starlink, even though it and Musk’s companies operate independently.

After this disclosure, Sir Doge commented, “Dogecoin addresses this issue,” as the meme currency operates in a decentralized manner, making it difficult for any government to readily seize individuals’ funds. In agreement, Musk acknowledged that his observation was valid.

The backing that Elon Musk provides to Dogecoin is one theory behind the ongoing expectations within the Dogecoin community that the digital currency could become an accepted form of payment on his upcoming social media platform, which is anticipated to launch its payment system later in 2021.
