While the Nintendo Switch Online service offers many advantages, some choices Nintendo has made have sparked debate. The initial release of the Expansion Pack, which added classic N64 and Sega Genesis games, was criticized primarily because of its higher price. A standard online subscription costs $19.99 annually, but the Expansion Pack costs $49.99 – a significant increase. Nintendo has tried to justify this price difference by adding more retro games, including Game Boy Advance and GameCube titles. The potential addition of three more classic consoles could finally make the higher price point feel reasonable to many players.

Honestly, waiting for Marvel’s Wolverine has felt almost as painful as the endless delays for Grand Theft Auto 6! I remember being so hyped when PlayStation and Insomniac first announced it back in 2021, alongside Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. We got Spider-Man 2 pretty quickly – just two years later – but it’s been five years since then, and I’ve been desperately wanting to play Wolverine. Thankfully, the September State of Play last year finally gave us a release window – 2026! I can’t believe it’s almost here.

Players are finding ways to keep beloved games alive even after official support ends. This happens through privately run servers that recreate the original experience, dedicated fan projects that rebuild the game from scratch, or, sometimes, through continued community enthusiasm that keeps the game going for years. These efforts demonstrate that a game’s ‘live service’ shouldn’t necessarily mean it disappears when developers stop updating it. Players should be able to continue enjoying these worlds for as long as they wish, instead of losing access permanently.

Fans are excited to finally see the last member of the Straw Hat crew revealed, and the author, Oda, plans to make that announcement during the Elbaf arc. While many fans currently predict Loki will join, Oda has subtly hinted that a princess from a currently unnamed kingdom will actually be the one to complete Luffy’s crew.
