Endflame, an indie game studio from Catalonia, Spain, recently released Silent Road. The studio was founded in 2019 and first gained attention with Ikai, a 2022 psychological horror game set in feudal Japan. Ikai featured a priestess haunted by her past, and while reviews were somewhat mixed, it’s become known as a truly frightening modern horror game, particularly for its use of Japanese folklore, focus on making the player feel vulnerable, and creative monster designs.

Since the initial test version of Battlefield 6 was released, many players have discussed how chaotic and confined the maps feel. While some enjoy this more intimate style, comparing it favorably to classic maps like Operation Metro and Grand Bazaar, a large number of players believe that huge, open maps are essential to what makes Battlefield unique. Maps like Caspian Border, Sinai Desert, and El Alamein are examples of this, and only Mirak Valley in Battlefield 6 offers a similar scale – most of the other maps are much smaller.

On December 3rd, the publisher unveiled a new shooting game from Goonswarm Games, describing it as a “bullet-heaven shooter.” However, the announcement trailer received criticism from fans who alleged that it included assets created using artificial intelligence.

Monkey D. Luffy is the central character in One Piece, and most of the story revolves around him. Throughout his adventures, he’s visited many islands and gathered a crew who repeatedly help him along the way. Luffy trusts his crewmates and knows they’re strong, so he depends on them when things get tough.

The incredibly rich ran a deadly game where desperate people were forced to lie, cheat, and even kill to win. Seasons two and three of Squid Game expanded on this premise, adding new characters pushed to their breaking points. With the show now concluded after its third season, fans craving similar thrills will have to find alternatives. Luckily, there’s a wealth of manga similar to Squid Game available to satisfy that desire for intense, life-or-death challenges.

I’ve been following Star Citizen for ages – it’s incredible to think development actually started back in 2010, even before Chris Roberts officially founded Cloud Imperium Games in 2012! Chris, of course, is famous for the Wing Commander series, which I loved growing up. When Star Citizen was first announced in 2012, it instantly grabbed my attention with its huge scope and promise. We’ve been able to play bits and pieces since 2013, and it’s been in early access since 2017, with constant updates. But honestly, with how much funding they’ve received, a lot of us fans are starting to wonder when we’ll finally see the full 1.0 version released!

Netflix announced on Friday that it’s buying the streaming and studio operations of Warner Bros. Discovery for $82.7 billion. This includes Warner Bros. Games, bringing game developers like NetherRealm (Mortal Kombat), Rocksteady (Batman: Arkham), TT Games (LEGO games), and Avalanche under the Netflix Games division.
