Supermassive Games has struggled with its last few releases over the past three years. Although I enjoyed both Little Nightmares 3 and The Casting of Frank Stone, many fans feel they weren’t quite as good as the studio’s previous work. Because of this, fans are hoping their newest game, Directive 8020, will be a major success.
Steam occasionally runs promotions where publishers offer their paid games as free downloads. If you add these games to your library and download them before the promotion ends – usually within 2-3 days, though sometimes up to a week – you get to keep them forever. Overwatch experienced its most significant changes yet in 2026. While some felt Blizzard lost direction initially by moving away from the original game and creating a sequel, the studio ultimately refined Overwatch and delivered a huge update. In February, Blizzard simplified the title – removing the “2” – and revamped the game’s story. You’ll find Scrap Metal right beside Signal Towers. These towers let you download blueprints for making tools, furniture, and other improvements for your camper van.
You can find food by gathering it in the wild or growing your own. At the start of the game, the quickest way to get food is to look for bushes with blue berries – these are called Roadberries. Each Roadberry will restore about 15-20% of your hunger. You can also find mushrooms growing near trees and plants, which provide a similar amount of hunger recovery. You can increase how much you can carry by finding blueprints to make better backpacks using the Sewing Table. You unlock the Sewing Table blueprint by finding it in a signal tower or on a computer at a landmark. The Sewing Table itself is made with just five Fiber.
You can find storage space in your camper van by looking for a small door located below the rear left window. It’s right beside the back door you use when setting up camp, and is shown in the image below.
Directive 8020 is one of the most ambitious entries in The Dark Pictures Anthology yet, and it largely succeeds. The game introduces exciting live stealth sections that add a new level of tension, and the characters become increasingly engaging as the story unfolds. It’s clear Supermassive Games is trying new things with their horror formula, and many of these ideas work well. While not everything is perfect – the game’s visuals can feel a bit rigid, and some choices are predictable – Directive 8020 feels like a strong step forward for the series and sets a promising path for future installments.
