Fans of Tomb Raider have a lot to be excited about right now! Between the second season of the animated series on Netflix, the growing buzz around the live-action show on Amazon, and the announcement of two new games at The Game Awards, there’s plenty to enjoy. The first new game, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, is even letting players unlock a classic wetsuit for Lara Croft, and it’s available right now through Amazon Games.

Fans of the Tomb Raider series have two new games to look forward to. In 2026, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will be released, offering a reimagining of the original game with updated gameplay and fresh content. This version will feature classic elements like dinosaur battles and exploration of locations like Peru and Egypt, bringing back Lara Croft’s signature pistols. Then, in 2027, Tomb Raider: Catalyst will launch as a completely new adventure continuing the story after the Legend trilogy. Crystal Dynamics is also exploring innovative ways to unlock outfits and other content, potentially changing how players customize Lara Croft.

Lara Croft has worn many memorable outfits throughout her video game history, and fans particularly love a few of them, including:

Currently, the Rise of Atlantis DLC for Tomb Raider will feature Lara Croft in both her iconic light blue shirt and shorts, and a wetsuit. Interestingly, Lara didn’t wear a wetsuit until Tomb Raider 2 because the first game didn’t have any underwater sections. However, this isn’t the wetsuit from TR2 – the developers, Crystal Dynamics, have chosen the design from Underworld instead. They’ve carefully recreated the Mediterranean Sea wetsuit from the 2008 game, including details like the leg holsters and yellow stripe. Luckily, getting this costume is quick and easy, taking just a few minutes to unlock.

Honestly, it’s a bit of a head-scratcher that Crystal Dynamics went with this outfit as the first alternate costume for the unified Lara. It doesn’t seem tied to any gameplay changes – if they added underwater sections, you’d think the wetsuit wouldn’t be locked behind some special program! Maybe they could’ve used the classic TR2 wetsuit for that, if they did add underwater stuff. But the bigger deal, I think, is that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis could be a chance to unlock a ton of iconic Lara outfits from all the old games. Since they’re already pulling looks from Underworld, why not bring back the best costumes from throughout Lara’s entire history? It’d be awesome!
