A major focus of Octopath Traveler 0 is restoring your home village, Wishvale. As you progress, you’ll rebuild the buildings you first see at the beginning of the game.
In chapter 5 of the Kindlers of the Flame quest, you’ll restore the Sacred Flame Dais. This is the same structure you used at the beginning of the game during the Azure Flame Ceremony.
To improve this building, you’ll need three Azure Flamestones. Here’s where to find them in Octopath Traveler II.
All Azure Flamestone Locations
Octopath Traveler II features three Azure Flamestones. Fortunately, you’ll get one naturally as you progress through the main story during the Kindlers of the Flame quest.
The other two items are harder to find – you’ll really have to search for them. And it’s worth understanding how combat works, because you’ll definitely be fighting.

| Wishvale/Path to the Flamebearer’s Shrine | During the Kindlers of the Flame, Ch. 4 quest, you will have a battle with an Emerald Direwolf. Once this wolf is defeated, you will automatically receive the Azure Flamestone as part of the story. |
| Grandport | To reach Grandport, you will need to obtain the Queen Orsa and sail across the Outersea to the northeast. Grandport is a fair distance away from Rippletide in a level 39 area, so make sure you are prepared before you make the journey. Once in Grandport, purchase the Azure Flamestone from the Traveling Ore Merchant. |
| Silver Springs | After completing the game, continue through the prologue and progress through the Bestower of Wealth quest. During chapter 3, you will access the Silver Springs. Inside, head to the left and interact with the shining objects to obtain the last Azure Flamestone. This is for around level 36. |
It’s best to wait until you reach level 36 before collecting the remaining Azure Flamestones. While the journey to Grandport can be tough, you should be able to handle it at that level. Plus, going there earlier can help you gain experience and level up faster.
All Sacred Flame Dais Upgrades
In Wishvale, Azure Flamestones are used to fully upgrade the Sacred Flame Dais, unlocking special benefits only available through this structure. Collect all the Azure Flamestones to maximize its potential.

| Fast Travel | This upgrade allows you to fast travel to any location on the map. Traditionally, you are only allowed to fast travel to towns, but this allows you to jump directly to places like dungeons, fields, and more. |
| Area Research | If you want to 100% Octopath Traveler 0, you will want to get the Area Research upgrade, as this shows you exactly how many elite foes and chests remain in the overworld. |
| Animal Whisperer | You have probably noticed that some animals in the game have speech bubbles above their head. The Animal Whisperer upgrade allows you to talk to these animals. It also allows you to use your Path Actions on some of them. |
I love that with Azure Flamestones, I get to pick exactly how I want to upgrade them each time! It’s so cool because unlike other buildings in Wishvale that force you down a specific path, these let me decide. It feels way more flexible and lets me customize things to how I want to play.
