Okay, so I’ve been playing this awesome game called Dispatch – it’s like a hilarious sitcom, but you’re hanging out with superheroes at work. It’s been a big hit, and I was surprised to see it pop up on the Australian Nintendo eShop! That usually means a game is going to be available on more than just one console. It was a great new release this year, and honestly, if the rumors about a Switch 2 are true, that’s amazing news – hopefully, we’ll all get to play it soon!
In the game Dispatch, you play as Robert Robertson, a former superhero known as Mecha Man. After his suit was damaged in a battle with his greatest enemy, Robert now works as a dispatcher for a team of heroes. Over eight episodes, you decide which heroes to send to handle emergencies around the city. The game also involves navigating workplace drama, building relationships, and trying to repair Robert’s Mecha Man suit so he can return to hero work. Your choices significantly impact the story, which has appealed to fans of choice-driven games. Currently, Dispatch is only available on PlayStation 5, but that’s likely to change soon.
Dispatch is Now on Australia’s Nintendo eShop, and it Even Has a Release Date
- According to the Nintendo eShop listing, Dispatch is scheduled to come to the Switch 2 on January 29, 2026.
As of today, the game Dispatch is still listed on the Australian Nintendo eShop, but not yet on the American one. It’s noteworthy that it already has a release date and price, and even a pre-order button, despite the fact that a Switch 2 version hasn’t even been officially announced. This suggests other regional eShops might soon list the game as well. If so, this would be the first time Dispatch has been released on a console other than Nintendo Switch, which is great news for Switch 2 players but unfortunately means it won’t be coming to Xbox.
There Are Currently No Known Plans to Port Dispatch to the Xbox Series X/S
It looked like Dispatch would only be available on PlayStation 5, but a recent listing on the Nintendo eShop suggests the developers at AdHoc Studio might be planning to release it on other platforms. While it would be a great fit for Xbox Game Pass, it’s unclear if they’re considering a release on Microsoft consoles. Currently, the Switch 2 appears to be the only other platform Dispatch is being ported to. Players who pick up the game on Switch 2 will likely be able to play all eight episodes at once, rather than waiting for them weekly as they were originally released.
AdHoc Studio is considering creating a second season, but hasn’t officially confirmed it yet. They recently announced a collaboration with Critical Role to develop a game based in the world of Exandria, which means a new season, if it happens, is likely still a ways off.
While Dispatch is currently announced only for the Switch 2, Xbox fans can still hope it might come to their platform later. It’s too early to say for sure, but hopefully, more players will get to enjoy this charming story. Dispatch is a funny, story-rich game about managing a team of heroes and villains, where you’ll make choices about who to send on missions and even explore romantic relationships.
