The new Cold Snap update introduces the Flickering Flames event! During the event, you can earn Candleberries by playing and use them to unlock rewards on a special event track. Plus, you can trade items in the Projects tab for currencies and other useful goodies.
Players will need to find a Water Filter as part of this project. It’s a rare, recyclable item, and this guide will show you where to look for it in Arc Raiders.
Where to Find Water Filter in Arc Raiders
Okay, so the Water Filter is something you can sell for 1,000 coins. But honestly, I usually break it down for parts – you get two Rubber Parts and three Cannisters from each one. If I’m farming these, I head straight for the Industrial areas. The great thing is, you don’t need to worry about keys or fighting over them, so I like to keep my loadout light and just run in and grab them.
The Hydroponic Dome Complex in Dam Battlegrounds is a great place to find Water Filters. It’s a large, open area with several buildings to search, and Water Filters spawn frequently inside. Since the loot quality is generally high here, be sure to check lockers, cabinets, and metal boxes you can break open. You can also find them lying on shelves throughout the buildings.
Choosing a Night Raid, Electromagnetic Storm, or the new Cold Snap challenge is even more rewarding because you’ll get better loot. But remember, each of these conditions adds new dangers, so be prepared! Once you’ve collected two Water Filters, you can head to the elevator nearby to extract and return to Esperanza. Just turn them in at the Projects tab to earn 1,000 Merits.
