Greavard is a Ghost-type Pokémon that evolves into Houndstone, a Pokémon with strong defenses but relatively slow physical attacks in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Evolving Greavard into Houndstone isn’t a typical process; it requires specific conditions to be fulfilled.
If you’re trying to complete the Pokedex in the Hyperspace Dimension DLC and catch all the Pokemon, you’ll need to know how to get Houndstone. This guide explains how Greavard evolves and where to find this Ghost-type Pokemon in the DLC.
How to Evolve Greavard into Houndstone in Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension
Greavard Evolution Method
In the Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC, Greavard evolves into Houndstone once it reaches level 30 at night. You can quickly level up Greavard using Exp Candies or Rare Candies, and then simply wait until nighttime – perhaps by resting at a bench – to trigger the evolution.

Put Greavard in your Pokémon party. You’ll then see an evolution arrow appear next to its picture. When the game asks, select Greavard and choose “Let it Evolve” to turn it into a Houndstone.
You can easily find Rare Candies and Exp Candies in Hyperspace Wild Zones and Battle Zones. Just collect the sparkling items on the ground and break open the floating Poke Balls. Using Donuts with the ‘Candies’ Item Power will make these items drop more often.

Greavard Location
In Pokemon Legends: Z-A, you can find Greavard in 1-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones that feature Ghost-type Pokemon. If you’re in Lumiose City, you can refresh these Hyperspace Wild Zones by taking a rest at any bench.
Okay, so if I’m hunting for Greavard, I need to find those 1-Star areas on the map that have the little ghost icon. Then, I just check if the Pokemon picture shown for that area matches the one I’ve seen in the screenshot. If it does, awesome – Greavard is definitely there!
You can catch Houndstone directly in 4-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones (Ghost-type) within Legends Z-A. These higher-tier Wild Zones become available as you complete Hyperspace Missions in the Mega Dimension DLC.
