This post contains spoilers for Solo Leveling.
Fans are loving Season 2 of Solo Leveling, and it’s all thanks to the incredible animation quality. A-1 Pictures truly went above and beyond, creating something special that’s raising the bar for anime as a whole.
While the animation in Solo Leveling is fantastic, it’s unlikely to remain the best forever. A new anime scheduled for Winter 2026 is expected to have even more impressive animation.
Trigun Stargaze’s Animation Will Be Better Than Solo Leveling
- Trigun Stargaze will have amazing animation
- It will difficult for any series to top it
While the animation in Solo Leveling is impressive, it doesn’t quite reach the level of Trigun Stampede and its follow-up, Trigun Stargaze. Trigun Stargaze is the long-awaited sequel to 2023’s Trigun Stampede. Both are produced by Orange, the studio known for Beastars and Houseki no Kuni. Trigun Stampede broke from traditional anime styles, opting for 3D CG animation. Though some fans were initially hesitant, the unique style ultimately won them over, allowing for smooth movement and remarkable detail. Orange has truly delivered a fantastic adaptation that stays true to the Trigun manga.
The new anime series, Trigun Stargaze, is scheduled to premiere in January 2026, bringing the iconic Vash the Stampede back to screens soon. The story picks up two and a half years after the devastating events of Lost July, which had global consequences. While the exact number of episodes hasn’t been announced yet, the new season is expected to have a similar length to the first.

The upcoming season of Trigun Stargaze is expected to have 12 episodes. After it finishes, viewers will likely have to wait a few years for the final season of Trigun. Though waiting can be frustrating, it’s good news that another season is planned.
Solo Leveling Season 3 Has Not Been Confirmed
Solo Leveling was a huge success with its first two seasons, so fans are getting anxious that a third season hasn’t been announced yet. Typically, an anime that performs this well would have a new season confirmed quickly. The lack of news from the studio suggests they haven’t made a decision. It’s likely they’re occupied with other projects and don’t currently have the resources to start working on another season. Some people involved with the anime have hinted that a third season might not arrive until 2028, which would likely disappoint many fans.
Creating an anime adaptation of Solo Leveling with high quality could take around two years. If the studio started work after season 2 finished, we can expect it to be released around late 2027 or early 2028. While that timeline is likely, it would be even better if the studio took a little extra time to deliver a longer, more satisfying season for fans.
Solo Leveling Season 3 Might Be The Longest to Date
The first two seasons had 12 and 13 episodes each. Given the three-year gap between seasons, a longer season – with more than 20 episodes – would be a good idea. Another short season would likely delay the anime adapting the entire web novel until 2030 or beyond, leaving fans waiting a long time.
To address this issue, A-1 Pictures could create a longer third season followed by a film to finish the remaining story arcs. The studio is likely interested in trying this approach, given the huge success of the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie, which earned over $600 million and broke numerous box office records. These impressive results make a movie release a strong possibility for A-1 Pictures.
What Will Happen In Solo Leveling Season 3?
Based on past seasons, Season 3 of Solo Leveling will likely feature the Ahjin Guild, Double Dungeon, Japan Crisis, and International Guild Conference arcs. These storylines are packed with action and will delve deeper into Jinwoo’s background. We can also expect to see many new characters introduced who will showcase their powers. With such compelling arcs planned, the next season of Solo Leveling is sure to be a success.
