Cardano (ADA) Upgrade Ogmios v6.7.0 Just Landed: What’s New

As a seasoned analyst with years of experience in the cryptocurrency market, I can confidently say that the latest release of Ogmios v6.7.0 is a game-changer for the Cardano (ADA) network. The era mismatch issues have been a thorn in the side of many users, and it’s refreshing to see a solution that addresses this problem head-on.

In a recent release, the user-friendly interface for interacting with Cardano-nodes called Ogmios, which facilitates communication with Ouroboros through JSON/RPC endpoints, has been introduced to resolve the discrepancy between the transaction and era periods, as stated by the technical director of CF’s open source team.

Cardano (ADA) era mismatch errors are gone with Ogmios v6.7.0 release

In simpler terms, the significant proof-of-stake network, Cardano (ADA), has undergone an update for a key part of its node software suite known as Ogmios. The new release, Ogmios v6.7.0, is aimed at addressing transaction problems from past stages, specifically “Eras,” which refer to different phases in the maturation process of Cardano’s (ADA) consensus mechanism.

If you’re fed up with encountering era mismatch issues while processing transactions, rejoice! Ogmios v6.7.0 is here to bring your wildest dreams to life. Once more, find peace and contentment. 💖

According to Cardano Foundation’s Tech Director Matthias Benkort, once the new software is activated, the system will automatically update transactions from earlier periods (ranging from the beginning to Alonzo), whenever they are submitted.

As a researcher, I am excited to announce the publication of Ogmios v6.7.0 on September 13, 2024. This update is designed to tackle an issue that arises when the ledger expresses concern about receiving a transaction during an invalid era, such as Babbage or Alonzo, while we are actually in a more recent era like Conway. Essentially, Ogmios v6.7.0 aims to ensure smooth and accurate transaction processing across different eras within our system.

Previously reported by U.Today, Cardano (ADA) has officially entered the Conway era following the activation of the much-awaited Chang hard fork.

The upgrade affects the period after the activation of the Alonzo hard fork in mid-September 2021.

DEX Screener finally added Cardano (ADA) liquidity pools tracking

You can find updated software packages for Cardano (ADA) in its official GitHub repository, which is known as Cardano Solutions.

This week saw a significant achievement within the Cardano (ADA) network as its liquidity pools were publicly displayed on DEX Screener, a widely-used exploration tool for Decentralized Finance (DeFi) platforms.

Currently, at the time of publication, DEX Screener monitors 34 different liquidity systems that involve Cardano’s native currency (ADA) and various alternative coins based on Cardano. The largest of these, BOOK/ADA, boasts a verified market cap of approximately $121 million, equivalent in value. Meanwhile, SNEK/ADA has accumulated a market cap of around $55 million.
