LEGO Fans Could See an Astro Bot Set in the Near Future

As a huge LEGO and Astro Bot fan, I’m so excited that we can potentially get a LEGO set based on the game! Astro Bot was amazing and even won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2024, so it’s clearly popular. Now, if enough of us support the idea on the LEGO Ideas program, we might actually see it become a reality!

Released in September 2024, Astro Bot quickly became a hit, earning a 95% average score from critics on OpenCritic and winning four awards at The Game Awards 2024, including Game of the Year, Best Family Game, Best Action/Adventure Game, and Best Game Direction. This PlayStation 5 exclusive platformer features the charming robot Astro as he explores imaginative levels and cleverly utilizes the PlayStation 5’s features both in the game and with the controller. The game also includes collectible PlayStation Bots, adding a touch of nostalgia for fans.

LEGO Fans Can Vote to Support an Astro Bot Ideas Set

If you’re a fan of the PlayStation 5 game Astro Bot and would like to see it become a LEGO set, you can help make it happen! A LEGO idea for an “Astro Bot (And Friends)” set was submitted to the LEGO Ideas program on December 23, 2025, by a creator named BlueSpaceship21. It’s already gained over 1,600 supporters and has more than two years to reach the 5,000-supporter milestone. The LEGO Ideas program lets fans propose new set ideas, and if an idea gets 10,000 supporters, LEGO will consider making it a real product.

This Astro Bot set would center around the main robot character and his Dual Speeder ship, which is modeled after the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller. It would also include smaller versions of Astro Bot’s helpful power-up companions, such as:

  • Monkey Climber
  • Twin-Frog Gloves
  • Elephant Nose-Hose
  • Barkster the Bulldog Booster
  • Chicken Booster
  • Micro Mouse Shrinker
  • Octo-Balloon
  • Penguin Swimmer
  • Teddy Cymbals
  • Sponge-Bot

The LEGO set would also feature several Astro Bot enemies, such as:

  • Boopee
  • Jab-Jab
  • Chopter
  • Voltee
  • Gloopy

Including these characters would make this LEGO Astro Bot set a complete tribute to the 2024 Game of the Year. It would be even better with a few of Astro Bot‘s PlayStation Bots as a hidden surprise for fans, and maybe even the villain Nebulax!

PlayStation and LEGO Have a History of Collabs

The LEGO Ideas campaign for an Astro Bot and Friends set has quickly gained over 1,600 supporters in just a week, and a LEGO Astro Bot seems like a natural fit for both LEGO and PlayStation. Astro Bot has become a key symbol of PlayStation, famously launching with the free game Astro’s Playroom on the PlayStation 5. Plus, this wouldn’t be the first LEGO set based on a PlayStation property.

LEGO has already released several sets based on the Horizon series, such as the Tallneck and a set featuring Aloy and Varl battling the Shell-Walker Sawtooth. The Aloy and Varl set is inspired by the LEGO Horizon Adventures game, which came out in November 2024 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. This shows a strong and ongoing collaboration between PlayStation and LEGO, hinting at the possibility of more sets to come.

If you’d like to help bring the Astro Bot (And Friends) LEGO set to life, simply sign in to your LEGO Ideas account and click the ‘support’ button. This idea needs 5,000 supporters within the next 601 days to stay active, so please show your support if you’re a LEGO or Astro Bot fan!
