This article contains spoilers from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
Himawari is a remarkably talented young ninja in the Boruto series. With the powerful Kurama as an ally, she’s capable of facing challenges like Jura and the Shinju Clones, defending those she cares about, and safeguarding her village, ultimately rebuilding the Uzumaki family’s legacy. She’s no longer the person who needed protecting; this version of Himawari is stronger and more capable than ever before.
Watching the events of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, I think Himawari is poised to unlock a powerful new ability, much like her brother Naruto. While she’s not ready for something as intense as Baryon Mode, I believe combining her Byakugan with Kurama Mode could significantly boost her strength. This isn’t just about her survival, either – it could give Boruto the edge he needs against Jura and the Shinju Clones. Since Boruto himself gained access to the Byakugan in Chapter 29, it feels like the right moment for Himawari to consciously activate hers and combine it with Kurama Mode.
Himawari Will Activate Byakugan
Himawari Is Getting Used to Her Powers
- Boruto gained access to Byakugan.
- Himawari will activate her Byakugan sooner or later.
I was absolutely blown away in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 29! Boruto finally awakened Momoshiki’s Byakugan during his fight with the clones from Mamushi’s Division. It was such a cool moment! Although this is the first time we’ve seen Boruto use the Byakugan in the manga, it’s awesome to remember that his sister, Himawari, unlocked it way back when she was just three years old! She actually activated it by accident, triggered by her anger at Boruto being silly – can you believe it?
In the manga, Himawari stopped using her Byakugan after a certain point, even though she uses it frequently in the anime series. The anime shows her activating it on multiple occasions, like when she saved Shukaku and during her fight with Hana-sensei. Similar to her mother, Hinata, she gets visible veins at her temples when using the Byakugan. However, the manga hasn’t depicted Himawari using it again, which is a noticeable difference.
Your fate was sealed by the power of both the Uzumaki and Hyuga clans within your lineage—as Kurama saw it.
Even though she’s still learning, Himawari is rapidly improving her training with Kurama in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. As she gains more control over her abilities, she likely will activate her Byakugan, potentially during a tough fight against opponents like Jura, Mamushi, or other Shinju Clones. Given that Boruto can currently use Byakugan, it’s possible Himawari will regain access to the dojutsu soon as well.
Himawari’s Next Transformation Could Be Byakugan Kurama Mode
Himawari and Kurama’s Compatibility Is Near Perfect
Image by Rei Penber/ Game Rant Previously, Naruto struggled to fully control the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode because his connection with Kurama wasn’t strong enough, which limited his ability to transform. However, Himawari might have an easier time. As a direct reincarnation of the Nine-Tails, and with a nearly perfect connection to Kurama, she could potentially access this powerful mode without the same difficulties Naruto faced.
Since her tough battle with Jura in Konoha, Himawari has been intensely training with Kurama. She’s improving at an incredible rate – she can now fire multiple tailed beast bombs one after another, and even use her abilities to heal herself and others, like Inojin Yamanaka. If she keeps progressing this quickly, she might be able to master Kurama Mode sooner than anyone anticipated.
Locked on.—Himawari
Eventually, the Boruto manga will likely showcase Himawari’s Byakugan abilities more fully. If she learns to control her Byakugan, she could potentially combine it with Kurama Mode, making her stronger than the Kage and on par with the Otsutsuki clan.
Himawari Will Surpass Naruto Uzumaki
It’s clear that Naruto Uzumaki isn’t as powerful as he used to be. Losing Kurama and being trapped in the Daikokuten dimension, where he can’t train, has weakened him significantly. As a result, his son Boruto has now become the stronger ninja, even if some fans aren’t happy about it.
Unlike Boruto, who gained power from outside sources, Himawari’s strength is developing naturally. Her unique combination of the Byakugan and the potential of a Tailed Beast makes it clear she has the ability to become even stronger than Naruto. Unless something tragic happens, she’s likely to exceed his power level eventually.
