Solo Leveling’s Perfect Successor Is Here, And It’s Even Better Than The Original

This article contains spoilers for Solo Leveling and Solo Leveling Ragnarok.

I was absolutely hooked on Solo Leveling the moment the anime came out – it’s been a massive hit, and for good reason! But what a lot of people don’t realize is that the anime isn’t where the story started. It all began as an incredible web novel by a South Korean author named Chugong. That novel was then turned into a manhwa – a Korean comic – and that’s what the anime is based on. It’s amazing to see how the story has evolved!

Fans of the popular web novel and comic, Solo Leveling, know that the original story has finished. Fortunately, a sequel series, Solo Leveling Ragnarok, officially continues the story. While the sequel novel is already complete, most fans are excited about the comic version. After a break, the Ragnarok comic is back with new chapters, and English translations are also being released again. With each new chapter, Solo Leveling Ragnarok is showing fans that it’s a worthy continuation of the original author’s work.

Solo Leveling Has An Official Sequel Called Solo Leveling Ragnarok

  • Ragnarok Is Written By A Different Author
  • It Is Still A Worthy Successor Of Solo Leveling

Solo Leveling was already well-liked before its anime adaptation became a hit, but now it’s a worldwide sensation that keeps growing in popularity. Fans are eager for more content and expect even bigger things from the series in the future. Those who enjoyed the anime and couldn’t wait for the next season have likely already discovered the original Manhwa.

I recently finished reading the entire Solo Leveling manhwa – it’s all available now! Of course, that left me, and a lot of other fans, wanting more. That’s when Solo Leveling Ragnarok came along. But it’s not a continuation of Jinwoo’s story. Instead, the sequel centers on his son, Sung Suho, who’s now the main character.

Solo Leveling Ragnarok’s Manhwa Continues, And The Story Is Getting Very Exciting

While some fans might be disappointed that Solo Leveling Ragnarok doesn’t follow Jinwoo’s story, it’s a series worth reading. Many readers actually find it just as thrilling—and possibly even better written—with more compelling characters and a stronger supporting cast. Some even believe Sung Suho is a more well-developed character than Jinwoo himself.

Now that the Solo Leveling Ragnarok manhwa is back with new chapters released every week, it’s a great time to jump into the story! You’ll get to revisit favorite characters like Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In, alongside many others.

Solo Leveling Ragnarok Is Canon, But Set In A Different Timeline Separate From The Original

Many new fans are curious about Solo Leveling Ragnarok, but because it’s written by a different author, people often wonder if it’s officially part of the original story. The answer to whether Ragnarok is considered canon is complicated – it’s both yes and no, depending on how you look at it.

Solo Leveling Ragnarok has a new author: Daul, instead of the original writer, Chugong. This has led some fans to wonder if it’s an official part of the story, but Chugong has confirmed that it is! He explained that Ragnarok is meant as a special treat for fans, but it still fits within the established Solo Leveling world. It takes place in a separate timeline and won’t change the events of the original story.

Ragnarok was created as a treat for fans of the series. I wanted to see a different author’s take on the world of Solo Leveling. While it takes place in the same universe, it doesn’t continue the main storyline. Think of it as an alternate ‘what if?’ scenario, much like the different universes you see in Marvel stories.

And of course, I’m also considering the possibility of writing a sequel myself.” — Chugong

Currently, Ragnarok is considered the most accepted continuation of the Solo Leveling story. However, it’s important to note that it doesn’t directly follow the original author’s established universe. It takes place in a separate world and may have significant differences from what the author originally envisioned. While the original author might write a different sequel in the future, Ragnarok is the only continuation available to fans right now.

Solo Leveling has two seasons out right now, one with 12 episodes, and the other with 13, for a combined episode count of 25 episodes available to watch right now. The series can be streamed on Crunchyroll for fans to enjoy while awaiting any more news concerning the third season. There have been no major announcements about a third season so far. Fans can get more Solo Leveling content via the Manhwa.
