How to Throw Snowballs at Rocketeers in ARC Raiders

The tenth week of challenges in ARC Raiders surprised players with a unique request: hitting a Rocketeer with a snowball. Rocketeers are notoriously difficult enemies, making this challenge particularly unexpected and challenging for veteran players.

Attacking a Rocketeer with snowballs might seem risky, but it’s surprisingly manageable. These enemies are dangerous – a single mistake could knock you unconscious. However, if you approach it strategically, you can actually use this encounter to earn rank points in ARC Raiders. Here’s a guide on how to do it.

    • Objective: Hit Rocketeers with snowballs
    • Difficulty: Moderately challenging
    • Map Condition: Cold Snap

How to Complete the ‘Throw Snowballs at Rocketeers‘ Trial

Okay, so I’m trying to finish the tenth week trial in ARC Raiders, and it’s all about snowballs! Basically, you need to hit a Rocketeer with at least four of them. First, you gotta find a snow pile and stock up. Then, find a Rocketeer and shoot it to make it fly lower to the ground. Once it’s down low, just quickly switch to your Quick Use slot and start pelting it with snowballs. Here’s how I’m doing it, step by step:

Prepare the Snowballs

When playing on the Cold Snap map in ARC Raiders, you’ll find small snow piles with a stick stuck in them. Interacting with these piles gives you a snowball, and you can keep collecting from the same pile because they constantly reappear. It’s a good idea to collect around 20 snowballs and keep them in your Quick Slot for easy access.

When building snow cover, look for snow drifts near buildings or rocky areas. Gathering snowballs can be slow, and you need to avoid getting frostbite in ARC Raiders. I’ve found it takes around three minutes to collect twenty snowballs.

Locate the Rocketeer

The Hospital in the Buried City is a great spot to finish the Rocketeer snowball challenge. You’ll often find a Rocketeer there, and the buildings around it offer good protection.

If you’re trying to complete the snowball challenge on the Dam Battleground map in ARC Raiders, go to the Primary Facility. It has several good spots to overlook the area, and a Rocketeer enemy frequently appears close by.

Stun the Rocketeer

You can reliably stun a Rocketeer before throwing snowballs in one of two ways. You can either hit it with a Showstopper or a Hornet Driver, or destroy two of its thrusters on the same side, which will slow it down. Either method briefly makes the Rocketeer almost defenseless while still alive, giving you time to land several snowball hits.

How to Three-Star the Week 10 Rocketeer Challenge

To get all three stars in this ARC Raiders trial, you need a total of 4,000 points. The best way to do this is by hitting Rocketeers with snowballs – you’ll need to land at least 16 hits, as each one gives you 250 points. Remember, your points only count if you successfully extract, so try to finish the match as soon as you reach 4,000 points.

How to Exploit the Rocketeer Trial for Farming Points

During the snowball challenge, a good way to earn points is to flip the Rocketeer onto its back. You can sometimes do this by stunning it with a Showstopper or Hornet Driver, which will cause it to fall over. When flipped, the Rocketeer can’t take off and will stay grounded until it’s destroyed.

After the rocketeer flips over, you can keep scoring points by hitting it with snowballs – some players have even gotten over 100,000 points this way! It’s simpler to do with a team, as your teammates can help you avoid freezing and keep the rocketeer stunned.

Tips for Completing the Rocketeer Snowball Trial

Keep these in mind:

  • Bring a Raider Hatch Key. You don’t want to risk missing the extraction window and dying after completing the challenge.
  • Farm Hornet Drivers in advance. Hornet Drives act as free Showstoppers and are needed to stun the Rocketeer for this trial.
  • Travel light. Don’t carry too many items or weapons. Focus on the essentials and make sure you have space for a few stacks of snowballs.
