Players of Borderlands 4 can now redeem a new SHiFT code for three golden keys, which can be used to unlock rare items in the game. However, this offer won’t last long – the code expires on December 31st, so be sure to use it quickly!
Gearbox Software regularly shares SHiFT codes with players to help them get extra items in the Borderlands games. Since the release of Borderlands 4 in September, they’ve been providing these codes consistently. Players can use them to get Golden Keys – which unlock special chests – and unique cosmetic items. As a holiday treat, Gearbox has recently released another set of codes for the community.
Latest Borderlands 4 SHiFT Code for 12 Days of Mercenary Day
- 396J3-6ZJ9J-KRJTW-TJ3BT-XK5H9 – 3 Golden Keys (Expires December 31, 2025)
Before the year ends, Borderlands players can claim three Golden Keys using the SHiFT code: 396J3-6ZJ9J-KRJTW-TJ3BT-XK5H9. This code is part of the game’s 12 Days of Mercenary Day event and will help you find better loot. But hurry – it expires on December 31st, so you only have a few days left to use it!
Thankfully, getting free stuff with SHiFT codes in Borderlands 4 is pretty simple. You can either go to the official SHiFT website and sign in with your account (or create one if you don’t have one), making sure it’s linked to your gaming platform. Then, go to the “Rewards” section and enter the code where it says “Code Redemption.” Alternatively, you can redeem codes directly within Borderlands 4 through the in-game SHiFT menu.
This isn’t the only SHiFT code available right now. Gearbox Software is also running the 12 Days of Mercenary Day event with other rewards. You can also get items like the Winter Borderlands Vault Hunter Skin and the World on His Shoulders Skin using SHiFT codes. Plus, there are still more holiday gifts coming for Borderlands before the year ends, so keep an eye out!
Following a big update to Borderlands 4 on December 11th, the 12 Days of Mercenary Day promotion is now live. The update included free new content to enhance the endgame experience, such as a new difficulty level and a challenging new raid boss called Bloomreaper the Invincible. In addition to the update, Gearbox Software launched the Season’s Looting event on December 18th to celebrate the holidays. This event boosted the rate at which players find Legendary items and will continue until January 8, 2026.
Borderlands 4 Has More Content Coming in 2026
Even though new codes and seasonal events bring players back, the developers have bigger plans for 2026. They’re planning to release a couple of story expansions, starting in the first quarter of the year with a new playable character named C4SH for Borderlands 4. The roadmap also shows that new challenge packs and extremely difficult bosses will be added. It remains to be seen if these updates will bring back players, as the game’s numbers have decreased since launch.
