50 Million XRP Tokens Transferred from Ripple Co-Founder’s Wallet

As a seasoned analyst with a knack for deciphering market movements and understanding the nuances of high-profile transactions, I find this recent transfer of 50 million XRP tokens from Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen intriguing. With my years of experience in the ever-volatile world of cryptocurrencies, I’ve learned to read between the lines and interpret the subtleties that often escape the untrained eye.

As a crypto investor, I’ve just learned that, according to the wallet tracking service Whale Alert, approximately 50 million XRP tokens worth around $29.1 million at current prices were recently moved from the wallet of Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen to an unidentified account. This transfer has caught my attention as it might indicate potential market movements related to XRP.

Since September 2020, this specific transaction hasn’t been observed until now. On the 22nd of September, 2020, an impressive $115 million of XRP was moved out of Larsen’s private wallet.

Earlier this year, hackers stole a total of $112 million from Larsen’s wallet.

The Ripple co-founder clarified that this was merely an isolated incident, adding that the company’s wallets were never compromised.

The XRP token is trading at $0.58, according to data provided by CoinGecko.
