Take Two Reaffirms Fall 2025 Release Date Plans for GTA 6

As a long-time GTA fanatic with memories of bustling Liberty City and San Andreas etched into my gaming psyche, I can hardly contain my excitement for Grand Theft Auto 6. Fall 2025 feels like an eternity away, but the promise of a return to the chaotic, thrilling world that Rockstar Games has crafted is worth the wait.

Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) is scheduled for launch in Fall 2025, as stated in their 2024 yearly report which was published on Wednesday.

The statement came in a section of the report specifically highlighting Rockstar Games.

Rockstar Games is persistently pouring resources into their franchise, with a projected launch of Grand Theft Auto VI slated for Autumn 2025, according to their announcement. They’ve hinted that further information will be shared gradually. Later on, Take Two echoed the same sentiments in their “Highlights of Content Releases.

Back in March 2024, there were numerous whispers hinting at a potential shift of GTA 6 to 2026. Although delays can’t be ruled out entirely, the project’s current standing is similar to what it was earlier this year. The plan for its release, as previously announced, remains on track for next year.

The debut trailer for GTA 6 was unveiled in December with an unprecedented number of viewers tuning in. Since then, there’s been a dearth of new information as we inch closer to the anniversary of its release. If the game is slated to drop within the next year, it seems likely that Rockstar is readying itself for the promotional push of one of the most eagerly awaited video games ever made.
