BlackRock’s Bitcoin Shuffle: Drama, Dollars & a Cold Shoulder

BlackRock, the world’s biggest asset manager, has done that classy move again-sliding BTC and ETH off their platform like it’s a party trick, and leaving the receipts on Lookonchain. The vibe? potential selling pressure, darling, but maybe they just love a good transfer saga 😂.

BlackRock dumps Bitcoin and Ethereum again

According to Lookonchain, BlackRock recently transferred over $361 million worth of BTC and ETH, shuttling the cargo to Coinbase Prime, as the transaction details would have you believe 🤷‍♀️.

Separately, BlackRock moved 3,743 BTC (~$339.45 million) and 7,204 ETH (~$22.42 million) to Coinbase Prime.

All of this hints more at operational flow than a fire sale. BlackRock runs spot BTC and ETH ETFs backed by the actual coins, so moving assets around could be about custodians, wallets, or getting ready for ETF creation/redemption-less panic, more paperwork. 🗂️

Earlier this month, similar moves: 1,134 BTC and 7,255 ETH deposited on Binance, with another chunk-$214 million worth of BTC and ETH-sent to Coinbase before that. The calendar loves a remix. 🔁

Traders raise selling pressure alarm

Bearish bells start ringing. Short-term players see the dumps as a cautionary tale for BTC and ETH, potentially nudging prices lower on Binance and other venues. Long-term holders? They might shrug, watch the price, then decide to care or not to care. 🤔

Market reaction? BTC dips to around $90,785, down 0.12% from yesterday, while volume bursts to $34 billion (up 164%). ETH slips to about $3,097, down 0.2%, but volume rockets to $19.2 billion (up 172%). 💸

If retail and institutions keep showing up to the party, these two heavyweights could claw their way back to fresh highs. 🚀

And yes, Bitcoin maximalist Samson Mow is still shouting about a $1 million BTC-sometime between 2031 and 2033. Sip your tea; the clock is loudly ticking. 🫖💰
